"Bum", "Exposed" and "Hypejob" are three words that should be punished by a permaban any time they are used on a boxing forum in relation to a fighter.

    Interesting.

The whole Rocky movie series was created for bums and those that love them.

It's currently the Bum-lovers cult classic.

Is it mostly Brits who are so upset about this word? Do you guys think that "bum" means "arse" instead of "vagrant"?

That's one name I've never applied to a fighter, because anyone who puts their personal health on the line just because they love the combat, regardless of their level of achievement in the sport, deserves respect. But bum as it pertains to boxers, I've always believed it was a boxer who never really put in the necessary time and effort, and just never really had the ability to achieve world class status as a fighter. Some people classified Emmanuel Burton as a bum-ish type of fighter, but the guy was one of the most entertaining fighters I've ever watched, win or lose. Very subjective question and it should be.

Emmanuel could have been a champion with the right manager and team hind him. He took fights at a few hours notice fought anyone anywhere. He had the skills too many of the fights he"lost" he was robbed. Some didnt take kindly to his showboating style & robbed him of many victories Yeah The Drunken Master was certainly entertaining:happy

A keyboard warrior who doesn't have the courage to step into a boxing ring but talks smack about real fighters who do have the courage

Emmanuel Augustus was a hell of a fighter. Too bad he had no backing.

He was robbed of many fights. He won that fight with Micky Ward and beat Ward at his own game.
