Scott lost to Walsh by a round or two but who gives a ****. It's a representation of how good he is/was facing a top rated prospect considering the long lay off and step up in weights from his prime at feather.
Scott was a brilliant pressure fighter with immense body strength rather as punching power. The strength he had when throwing combo's rag dolled most of his opponents. He was great at closing the ring off because his footwork was so good and his jab was underrated. Very good at blocking and parrying as well.
Scott was a monster feather and would have beat Guzman, Injin Chi and most of the other guy's he was linked with but didn't face. Barrera, Morales and Marquez would have beat him though, and probably handily as well.
I doubt he'll fight Ricky and if he did I doubt he'd win. It's just too tough a task considering his situation.

It would easily sell out the hydro where as burns v Corrola would be lucky to to 5 thousand.

I dont disagree Ricky v Scott would generate more fans but what would Ricky acheive by beating Scott in no way would it enhance his chances of fighting for a world title so there'd be no point in it, imo it simply wont happen

The cook fight was made by the same people who gave scott his chance against walsh and never took it! Cant you get your head round that?
Ricky may get a straight shot at a world title because he ranked very high Scott isnt in UK top 10 just now, so why on earth would Ricky fight scott, to beat him and stall his career i dont think so mate

As I said before it's a lose lose fight for Burns, either way it probably wouldn't further his career any, but boxing is about the fans and the fans want it.
I think your under estimating the damage the last 3 fights have done to Ricky's pulling power, he seriously needs to up his game to get the fans back on side and battle with Harrison would give him the chance to do that. If Ricky ends up fighting Vazquez to regain his title, that has all the makings of being the worst fight in history.

Eddie Hearn was on the phone to Scott asking who was going to promote and manage him 100%

All in fairness mate Ricky just doesnt need Scott financially or otherwise but Scott needs him, so let Scott earn a shot at Ricky.
I think you seriously underestimating the level Rickys at and what Scott showed against Walsh, Ricky would have had Scott out before the end of round 6
