    Should Welterweights of yesteryear actually be compared to modern day lightweights. A modern day middleweight walks around at 185 and fights at 172. Sugar Ray Robinson used to fight for the middleweight title at 155 and walk around at 160 or less. Not only are modern day heavyweights bigger, but the same can be said for all weight classes.

    you're bang on but it sometimes goes badly wrong for fighters trying to make their weight.
