I don't follow fat asses column, but I agree with him except I think he is being generous. The percentage is probably 60-70%.

You can tell they are mostly comprised of UFC fans raised on x-box and playstation where most of their boxing knowledge comes from video boxing games where you can match Ali with Holyfield, and their posts reflect that level of understanding about the sport.

fights are thrown all the time. when a fighter doesnt throw for 12 rounds, u ask yourself if it wasnt fixed. ill take a beating for 12 rounds if you are going to pay me an extra 4 million dollars when im making way below that.

Suddenly people care what a fat guy who never stepped foot in a boxing ring says? Lets overlook the fact that Angulo took beatings for about 5% of what he made that night. You don't have to say it was fixed but Angulo was WAY off that night. If you are one who justifies it by saying Canelo wrecked him in the first 10 seconds of the fight then you're just as stupid.

It never ceases to amaze me why people choose to be obese.

Agreed. It bothers me on a serious level. I mean if you don't have some sort of genetic reasoning for it, then its a choice. It's not that hard to lose weight and to stay active. 90% nutrition. 10% workout.

But some people are happy, so to each their own.

i'm never at ease with these nutrition, exercise percentages
the way I see it, it could allow some people to avoid increasing their exercise regime
work hard/build up both, and in increments (not all at once), and your body will rise to the occasion :good

Well Im only speaking from experience. I gained like 60 pounds after my mom passed. Did some research, stuck to a meal plan, learned how to meal prep and lost about 68 pounds in 8 months. It's doable. Nutrition is more important than the workout itself.

    well done!
for me, they have to go hand in hand
the harder I work my body, the more refined my eating habits will be (not that they are bad anyway)
having the right mindset is critical, and pushing myself with my exercise regime makes the discipline with my eating habits easy

at the end of the day, do what works best for you :good

EDIT : I really enjoy prepping my own meals, and cooking, when i'm working extra-hard. extra energy generated by being mega-active means I can't sit still for long

Dan makes his money writing on boxing. Half of the people here wish they could change jobs with him.

Very true. Rafael does a good job....................

There was an FBI investigation into fight fixing a number of years ago. I have read that there is another one?

Dan is 100% right. If this fight was fixed Angulo would have faked getting knocked out halfway through the fight. Why take punishment like that for 10 rounds when it's already fixed and he got his money?. If dumbasses still insist that this was fixed, why the hell would Golden Boy fix this fight and pass on fixing Maidana-Broner?
