You type all that and said nothing, Loma lost, besides the body shot Ko in his first fight he didn't impress me...

You can't force your way into a title bout in your second fight and then make excuses when you lose, had he won he would have gotten full credit...

So no fight fans aren't allowed to favor one fighter over another? Neither Gary nor Loma have beaten a credible opponent, Loma had an opportunity to do so but he lost, he did good but an L is an L...

If he had faced every opponent of Russell he's supposed to go undefeated, they were all C level fighters or worse ...what I've seen in Loma in two fights is a fighter who lacks a good consistent jab, smothers his punches and isn't very good at controlling distance, hence his non existent jab...

Just because he was a highly decorated Amateur he's supposed to be given a pass...nope...maybe he will gone on to one day be champ maybe not...but as of today he a B fighter and like I said if they fight today I'd pick Russell...and he's only proven to be a B fighter, because of his comp...G.R. What is absolutely amazing is the large amount of subjective emotionalism bing consistently displayed by these posters who have been posting on ESB for years.

Even after all these years, they still don't know sht bout the sport of boxing.

Yeah I ran into an idiot yesterday who didn't know what journeyman means, and took forever to grasp the meaning. Shocking stupidity, but that's alt ridden ESB for you

Lomachenko has beaten Ramirez, who is better than anyone GRJ has fought. And he looked better than GRJ ever has. He lost a split decision to Salido, in a bout many thought he won. Beating Ramirez earned him the title shot, I don't know why people can't understand that.
You're allowed to pick GRJ of course, but that just tells everybody else that you don't know **** about boxing. One of GRJ' problems is that his jab is so consistent, it's always at the same speed and he pumps it out constantly. That allows opponents to easily time him. Even the tomato can Tomayo was tagging Russell easily in his last fight.
Lomachenko's jab is mainly to measure distance and against Salido his punches were being smothered because Salido was charging in with his head down throwing low blows. Against an orthodox, predictable boxer like GRJ he can do whatever he wants whenever he wants. I promise you that, GRJ will get destroyed. He's nowhere near Lomachenko's level.
As an amateur GRJ lost 15-5 against Vodopyanov at the worlds, Lomachenko stopped the same guy and beat him 12-1 the next time he fought him. How does that happen if GRJ is on the same level as a boxer in terms of skills etc? And what has GRJ done since then to elevate his game? His pro opposition has been going backwards. Lomachenko has already achieved and done vastly more than GRJ in the six months he's been a pro.
So Lomachenko might not impress you, you're allowed to pick GRJ... but as I said that just tells me that you don't know **** about boxing.:thumbsup
