A Well deserved Rematch or Cherry Pick? Mayweather vs Cotto II

    If Cotto becomes the MW Linear Champ by defeating an aged Martinez, he would have made history, and be the Linear WBC MW Champ, if Floyd grants him a Rematch and the fight is for the Lineal, Ring Magazine, and WBC MW championship would you say its a another Cherry Pick or a Great Way to Retire if he wins?

    he would have hold 3 Rings Magazine and 3 WBC championship at the same time...

    IF Cotto somehow shocks the world, it would be concidered a very understandable cherrypick.

    Both answers are right
    Perfect way to catch the lineal MW championship.

    If Cotto beats Martinez it will be the biggest win of his career and it will solidify him as a first ballot HOF'er and one of the ATG Ricans. Besides, the first fight was one of the most entertaining fights of Mayweather's career. Who could complain about a rematch? Besides ofcourse the nitpicking hater legions that boxing message boards are infested with..

    Makes sense, if Cotto beats Martinez then he has the best win out of all the MW's so wouldnt complain

    If Cotto wins the Lineal belt, Floyd better jump on it. That way Cotto has enough $ to prepare for 168 lineal champ :yep

    But if Martinez wins will Floyd fight him? No no no

    Floyd's career has been about selection of opponents. He fought the likes of Baldomir when he caused an upset and won the title. Never the dangerous Margarito etc.
