This card, Paul Smith and other grumblings

    I know Paul Smith isn't fighting tonight now but for Sky to accept this card, this had to be Smith v Fielding. The Bellew fight is pathetic as a main event. Heard Paul Smith talking about Abraham the other day for WBO strap and it being a realistic possibility. My word, beating Tony Dodson is now an eliminator?! Smith got outclassed by both Groves and Degale and he is at euro level no more. Just fight Fielding and get on with it.

    Eddie Hearn talks a good game but this is the latest in a list of completely uninspiring bills. I mean at least in the Burns card I was looking forward to Cardle v Appleby, Murray v Simpson (in addition to the main event).
    I can't believe anybody is even at this show. The Fielding weight incident is just another embarrassment in a truly pathetic event.

    Good post and agreed.

    Also how many fecking people do we need standing at ringside talking about the fight. Two people is more then enough, they have like 4 or 5 and they all talk ****.

    Mate, i agree with everything you have to say about Smith not forgetting the fact, that he also has only had 2 fights since November 2011 he should be nowhere near a world title fight.

    Adam 'boxing is a remarkable sport' Smith needs to be questioned for rubber stamping this crap for Sky. There are so many fights that can be made and we are watching this dross. Someone also needs to tell Eddie Hearn that just becuse someone says Bellew is world class it doesn't mean we believe it. He certainly should not be tipping the bill in what is essentially a dipping his feet in the water fight at cruiserweight

    Boxing is going backwards, more coverage, more hype but worse fights. In Britain anyway. Bellew should have had to fight Ofalabi. That wod have been a good fight and imminently makable?! Worthy main event material on a Sky card.

    It's just scandalous this is on tv

    Ridiculous to blame Hearn. He can't control the pull-outs or Fielding being a disgrace. Easy to say the card is ****, but what over promoter in Britain is doing any better? ****** can't even sell out the copper box.

    **** off Solaris this card is a joke nothing to do with FW or any other promotor, what other promoter has a deal with Sky Sports. Cards a total joke worse than any domestic card FW has put on Boxnation.

    What is Paul Snith on about. "Charles Adamu wouldn't lad two rounds with me or my brother Callum".

    Paul Smith who was last seen in a 6 round decision win overs Jamie Ambler who is 10-52. Paul Smith should be embarrassed taking about the WBO belt. Done absolutely nothing to warrant a shot
