My irst thought was a dive as the shot barely landed and had no power by the time it did.

The shot that did landthough was the left to the temple just before, and that might have done the trick. It was a bit like the Wlad shot that put Eddie Chambers to sleep.

Malik broke his fall on the way down with his forearm, something a properly stunned fighter wouldn't do, so I still have my suspicions.

    WTF?

If a guy refuses to get up EVEN THOUGH HE COULD, How is that not a fix or a dive?

:-( Jesus, the ignorance around here...

A dive is when an individual boxer walks into the ring planning on "throwing" a match, ready to intentionally lose.

A fix is when both parties (the "loser" and his opponent, and both of their camps) are in on the plan, along with promoters and officials and whoever else needs their palm greased.

When a guy is hit with a big shot and decides in that moment to stay down, without premeditation, that is neither a dive nor a fix. It's a guy deciding to stay down.

He just felt the power and mentally thought "**** this is too much power for me" and didn't get up on purpose, but not because he got paid to do it I don't think.

    Scott disgracefully quit either way.
Do you think he should have at the very least parts of his pay withdrawn?

This was outright embarrassing, I am embarrassed as a boxing fan for what I saw.
