Blatant fix. If Scott's gloves cannot take a punch like that how the **** are they going to react when he actually tries to hit someone?
IDk mane, rewatched it damn near a half dozen times, and we all know the right corss didnt hit Malik's head, but the left he threw that supposedly knocked him out was a weak setup punch that looked more like a open handed ***** slap Either it was a thrown fight, or Wilder has ungodly power that we've yet to see in boxing
Who's to say he didn't get paid to quit? Gans-Mcgovern is widely considered to have been rigged, and Joe took 100x the punishment Scott just did.
Actually no, it didn't show that. What it showed was the right cross - which I think is what everyone was expecting to see doing the damage when they watched the replay - not landing all that cleanly. However, if everyone would calm the hell down and go easy with the hysteria and pay attention, before the cross, there was the equilibrium-robbing temple shot left hook that actually caused the most-probably legit knockdown, which in turn led to Scott's maybe premeditated (making it a dive) or maybe not (making it a quit job) decision to stay down.
Can we please ban people like this, 80% of esb are racist trolls (of all colors) When I just signed up this was a really cool forum and I learned alot about boxing here, but BS like this (and also guys like Forza and Derrick) are really ruining this place
Maybe he did. Who knows? The left hook banged his temple hard. The knockdown at least did seem legitimate - even with the right cross barely puncturing the guard. (it was irrelevant, actually) Scott chose to stay down. Whether he was paid beforehand or not - that's pure speculation. There is no compelling reason to say he did or didn't get paid to quit on purpose. The only fact is that he quit and made no attempt to beat the count.
IDK IB, the left looked like a smoke screen set up punch to open Scott up for the right cross Like I said earlier, Scott either took the dive, or Wilder has ungodly, insane, ruthless power (which he just might have)
It sure looks like the fix was in... but the problem I have with believing that is that Malik Scott is a legit Heavyweight. He isn't a bum, he isn't washed up... you could argue that he should be undefeated at this point if not for a bull**** draw against Glaskov and a British Stoppage against Chisora.
If that shot rocked his equilibrium than he belongs in a nursing home not a boxing ring. Every boxing gym in existence have teenagers who have harder sessions and take harder shots than that every day of the week in sparring.
That's what I'm wondering. Either that or Scott has no chin at all. But if Wilder can hit like that, nobody stands a chance.
