Everybody knows Garcia isn't the greatest boxer in the game and has the potential to be beat with his limited skillset. But that's the same for lots of fighters.

The thing is despite his slow, flat footed, wide, looping and at times wild style is that he got the wins. His chin is iron & his power is real with a rather unorthodox counter punching style with makes use of his power heavily. Enabled him to be the unified champ. He was severely underestimated by many and nobody really gave him the respect he deserved (I myself didn't). Shame about the low blows...Its' the main/only thing i'm holding against him at the moment.

Provo is also a bad boxer...
    Bradley can be outboxed...
Alexander holds & got his ass whooped by Porter.
Khan lacks mental capacity and his chin ain't great
    Paulie has no power
Maidana can be crude and easily outboxed
    PEDerson. PEDS.

etc etc. Give ****** strength left hook kid a break everyone knows he is limited. nobody is or has been calling him Mayweather or Pacquiao level elite.

Even more limited than Garcia lol. Got hyped when Bradley went full ****** and had a mental lapse trying to brawl with a guy who has real power (unlike himself)

Everytime he fights all we ever hear is: "don't count out Provo he has power!" Who cares this is boxing not a punching machine.

I agree with everything you mentioned. Boxing fans of this era are to quick to call fights rigged because their favorite fighter lost or calling fighters overrated to soon.

Garcia is not 'limited' . He has a classic style of boxing. His balance and footwork set him apart. He's always in position to land a shot and that makes him very dangerous for any opponent.

I'd love to see him against Bradley.

^If you're a unified champion yet get outboxed by Herrera then you're limited (in my opinion).

I wouldn't call him a hypejob, he was supposed to lose against khan, Lucas and got the job done. He's earned his spot he was never suppose to have. He was in with a guy that got the better of him with the jab and ugly work. He just couldn't get off and had a bad night, but this proves if he gets a mayweather fight he has no chance of winning. He got a gift decision against some guy no one knows who he was. It happens all the time, but I wouldn't call it a flat out robbery.

I have been giving Danny the benefit of the doubt, because he is pretty young. When you are young and improving with fights I have no problem rating a fighter highly. But he looked silly in this fight compared to his "status".

Though, Hererra is not a bum. Never thought he was, but I am still a bit surprised he beat Garcia. (to hell with the official scores, it was plain as day he had no chance unless he got the KO)

You do not realize it, but you're disrespecting the performance and hard work that Herrera put in last night with your comments about Garcia.

Garcia is not "hype," and Herrera is not as bad as people would make him out to be. Quality fighters, both of them.

I agree Herrera is certainly a quality fighter. The "Hype" backlash comes from the "p4p #3" hype that Garcia camp/promoter started up with. Trying to rate him above Bradley, Wlad, etc

Happens a lot with young guys who come up. Everybody wants them to be the "second coming" of some all time great fighter.

But yea, Garcia should not be rated #3 p4p.

Who said Garcia was p4p #3? Was it Danny himself, his dad, promoter, fans?

Was Schaeffer in particular, and Danny affirmed it.

edit: ok cant link it.. was on box scene

I see what you are saying though - fans say silly crap all the time and its silly that fighters sometimes get backlash for it. In this case, it was stuff coming from Team Garcia/GBP.
