After last night's fight, Tomasz said he may retire, he will decide in a month or so.

Tomasz has had a very good boxing career. He won a title at light heavyweight, and was linear and Ring Champion at cruiserweight. Tomasz was top 5 at heavyweight for several years, despite being at a size disadvantage in the division.

Should he be admitted into the Hall of Fame?

I would say no but if Gatti is in he deserves to get in, clearly a better fighter than Gatti.

    Yes.

In fact there are many lesser boxers than Adamek in the HOF.

Hmm.. 8 years on top, titles in two divisons, several amazing fights, big heart.

Hard to say but he rather deserved for it.

I think so. If it wasn't for his move up to heavyweight he would be a great boxer that everyone would like. Its only his recent fights in the heavyweight division that tarnished that view.

he has a hall of fame heart but i don't think he'll get in. at the same time, he is better than a few of the fighters who have gotten in recently.

I personally don't think so, but I wouldn't be up in arms if he did get in either.

It would be on the strength of 175lbs and Cruiser only, IMO, as his run at heavyweight was ultimately an irrelevant waste of time (as I feared it would be when Adamek first announced his move up...back when I was actually quite a big fan of his...)

Based on his work at LHW & CW...maybe. You could make a case for him squeaking in, but also just as strong a case (if not stronger) for him not.

Adamek is a 'lesser ' boxer than Gatti.

What fight of the year did Adamek ever have?

Adamek lost 11 rounds to Chad Dawson.

He misses the HOF by large.

    Uh, two, with Briggs. :?

Before he moved up to heavyweight that was the #1 thing he was even known for. Their names were intertwined as much as Gatti's and Ward's.

    None!

His 2 fights with Briggs and 1st fight with USS were candidates.

The only reason Adamek vs. Briggs II technically wasn't the FOTY in 2006 was because Monshipour vs. Sithchatchawal happened to also happen in that year...but since next to nobody actually saw that one...

World champ at light heavy, 2 foty fights with Briggs. Lost to Dawson when allegedly struggling with the weight.

World champ at cruiserweight, the number 1 in the division, beating former number 1 Bell and Cunningham in the process.

Beat Arreola who is about to fight for the WBC title, beat Chambers, lost to Vitali in a division he shouldn't be fighting in.

An ATG? No but a HOF I think so.
