Mike won practically every round against a tall, awkward world champion who came to spoil and survive. Why can't Mike get a pass there when Ali repeatedly looked like dog **** against road sweepers and other assorted no hopers and gets called The Greatest?

How did he end up getting hugged all the time if he couldn't get past the jab.:patsch

Wlad could't tie up Peters , one of the most unconditioned and slowest HWs of all time and Sanders broke through his clinch like it was a twix. Tyson would slaughter Wlad something awful. Smith eat brutal bombs all night. Wlad does't fight through any shots from Tyson.

You know absolutely nothing about Tyson or boxing. Zero.

Actually tyson faced someone like the klits and was blown out by LL also Vit was never stopped its hard to see tyson chop him down when he couldnt a much chinnier Lewis.. and wlad has been stopped less then tyson... so remove the rose tinted glass tyson was fun to watch but very overrated.

The term prime for prime is in the title of this thread.
So which version of Ali do you think I meant?

it annoys me when people ignore what they plainly must be able to see with their own eyes.gene tunney made dempsey look ameturish, gene tunney was classed as a master boxer in them days.yet if you look at tunney,he is a decent boxer at best.dempseys straight forward attack, face first wild punching style would be picked apart by anyone with a lot lesser of a fighter than tyson

I would pick a prime Lennox over any version of Tyson.

Too big, too strong, and superior ring IQ and composure.

Tyson would crush Lewis. Who kayoed Lewis again? Two bums? Lewis was not that great. He avoided many potential challenges early on, and then came on when the division was shite. A prime Tyson destroys him rapidly. Lewis had two left feet ... he could not get away from Tyson's bombs.

I think anyone who had a decent enough chin, who had good boxing skills, and also and most importantly did not fear Tyson, could beat him.
    Ala the great Evander Holyfield

This. A completely washed up, drugged up and uninterested Tyson went through the motions in round one and Lewis looked disorganised and desperate. Imagine the Tyson of 1986 in there with him, Lewis would likely have been executed in the very first round.

Sure, McBride had a great chin and boxing skills didn't he? Basically anyone who fought Tyson when he never mentally showed up could beat him, skills are pretty much irrelevant.

    er no..

Lewis was always in control in that 1st round oh and lets not forget about the uppercut @ the end of the round that had Mike telling his trainer that he was hurt.

1986 Tyson starts fast vs Lewis yes. Has a lively 1st round yes but gets beat all ends up.
