Lay off Garcia folks!

I don't believe he took Herrera lightly. I would like Herrera's chances very much in a rematch. I believe Danny would make some adjustments but so would Herrera and it would be entertaining. I did not score the fight but I thought Herrera won at least marginally, meaning by a few rounds, just from viewing it.

Do you really believe he took Herrera lightly? To me it just seemed that Herrera simply beat him, it wasn't like Danny wasn't trying, he was just failing to figure out how to deal with Herrera.

I would let go of the excuse that Garcia took him lightly and just accept that he got beaten by the better fighter that night.

You are right in the sense that they took him lightly by CHOOSING Herrera, that was definitely dumb, but I don't think psychologically that Garcia seemed badly trained or ill prepared.

All that hype Garcia had after beating Matthysse should be put in PROSPECTIVE... Did he really outskill and out fight Matthysse, or did he get lucky

Hes got talent, but be realistic... Put him in prospective... People actually had and HAVE the nerve to say he'd give Floyd trouble...

 

He beat Mattgysee because of skill, as he was throwing the punches and doing the damage.
Garcia was the better man that night. You could sit there and make excuses as to why Matthysee lost, as every fighter in history can also give you various reasons why they lost.

was it really a miracle that Danny won? I remember leonard vs Hearns ....leonard was behind on the cards to Tommy and his eye was completely closed he knocked Hearns out.
Matthysee was not skilled enough to pull it off or Danny was skilled enough to prevent
it, pick one and get over it Matthysee lost.

And u can ignore my point all u want and call it excuses, but after hearing how Garcia took him lightly, Garcia was drained, Garcia had hand problems, which no evidence supports, I think u should just face reality and put Garcia in prospective like I've been saying...

Matthysse with 2 good eyes vs Garcia = Matthysse win 5 out of 6 rounds. Matthysse with only 1 good eye = Garcia sweeps him...

If it wasn't too obvious where u allegiances lie, I'd expect u to be curious like any other objective fan.

it was clear to all that Danny struggled with the more technical side of boxing. but that still doesn't make him all of a sudden a bad fighter.

he is what he is... a good solid fighter who has his strengths and weaknesses like any other fighter.

but he has lost his last two.

 

Garcia being able to adjust and idiots claiming him to be the P4P number 3 are two things that **** me off where Danny in concerned.

i know it's his fan boys that do it, and not Danny himself, but it still grates.

 

I suppose this is the same knee jerk reaction we got when Kahn ****ed up and Garcia lowblowed Lucas all night.
I have always felt Garcia was overrated and am stoked he got exposed.

 

HOly ****ing **** you damn nimrods keep forgetting that he lost by a mere point. He lost but the difference was 1 round. Whooped my ass. Lucas left with a busted eye and sunken ego while Garcia was deaf in one ear and pissed blood.

 

writing somebody off after a dodgy fight and calling them a bum is one of the Evils of boxing forums. it's just needless.

 

the Matthysse fight was corrupt from top to bottom.

the ref, the low blows, and the disregard for the rules. also add in the judges, because i had Lucas winning without all the cheating that went on.

 

Garcia didn't take him lightly you *******! Herrera was so slick a fighter. He's fast.
