Who won? Garcia or Herrera

Neither won it. I admired the judge who scored this bout 114-114.

 

As much as I would love to at least give Danny a draw here, I believe even a draw is an invalid score. I hope that Danny just didn't take this fight seriously and that he'll take all fights seriously from here on out.

 

Honestly, I think that's what it was. I'm a big fan of his and I have no doubt he lost that fight, but while watching him he didn't look like his normal self.

 

Peterson will beat danny if he boxes him instead of trading..

 

I didn't score it, but, I felt Herrera was in control for most of the fight.

 

They are paid to plug a fighter. This just shows how easy it is to convince people DOG**** is ICECREAM. Herrera is Dog****. The announcers made many believe he is ice cream. Well - cant fool me. Herrera is DOG**** all day long.

 

If Herrera is dog**** then Danny is diarrhea. Danny was the star in Puerto Rico not Herrera why would the commentators want to fool the fans? You don't need to be fooled because you naturally are a fool. Now go eat a large scoop of Dog**** Ice cream you rat *******.

Every fighter had a bad fight. I don't think Danny's performances last night were really bad. Herrera was fast and slick but he didn't control the fight last night.

 

I had Herrera winning this clearly. Danny got outboxed. His offense was basically neutralized by a smaller, less powerful, but much smarter fighter. Most rounds were close. But in the second half of the fight, when Herrera stepped up his offense, Herrera's jab was landing, he was landing the better power shots, and Danny was consistently losing the exchanges, which is normally his greatest strength.

I guess it's not a surprise, since Danny was also outboxed by Zab in the second half of their fight, and by Lucas for most of their fight.

Who knows how much longer Danny's luck will continue like this.

 

I'm watching the fight right now and I'm getting frustrated because I can't see how so many people think Herrera dominated this fight. Rounds were so close and most of the time neither guy landed solidly. Jabbing and then clinching doesn't win you a championship.

I'm starting to believe either
a) people are biased and hate Garcia
b) they ate up Showtime commentary

My scorecards are on point 99% of the time.

I feel like I'm not seeing something. Neither guy really impressed.

 

If the commentators would be trying to make anyone "icecream" it would be their money maker, Danny Garcia. In this event, Garcia's the guy bringing the revenue to Showtime and bringing in the money to pay the commentator salaries. So why would they be "plugging" the opponent--the guy not bringing money to Showtime? See the flaw in your fantasy?

 

Herrera won and it was not close................

 

so who's landed the more telling blows and whats the power punch difference landed in Pac-Bradley 1?

I cannot understand how boxing allows for judges like these.
Hererra was the CLEAR winner.

He backed Garcia up all night , and was scoring heavily.
Hererra stormed out and took the Championship round.
He beat Garcia around the ring the entire 12th round.
Garcia ate some leather and I thought was hurt in round 12.
Garcias face told the tale of what happened in the fight, that night.

Hererra was robbed.
