It was better than Danny Green knocking out Paul Briggs

Has Scott spoken yet? I'll assume he has to claim the slapped hook KO'd him given the right hand did not connect, if he claims the right hand did him then we'll all know he's a con man. I don't believe I've ever seen anyone KO'd by a slap in boxing, except Scott.

    big deal.
then it goes on the punch stat as "punch landed".
the whole point is that it didnt land hard enough to knock out a 240 pound heavyweight where he couldnt get up
shame on golden boy for putting this farce on....even if it wasnt a set up, Scott is pathetic and this doesnt do wilder ANY favors

its not like he has this incredible speed like roy jones. roy would knock out guys like that. thats why to me it looks telegraphed. versus some can, he can get away wih it. but not versus a boxer of scotts caliber. guys lke stiverne, arreola are not going to stand there and let wilder knock them out like roy jones

Scott has an awful chin. Chisora is an average puncher at best and he dropped him with a shot that shouldn't have put him down either

Roy Jones 5'11 started boxing at 154 & he made Ruiz turn into vussy and Norman explode

Wilder at 6'8" lean 225 threw the same hook Tito KTFO many people with, and many times Tito right followed down the same way...luckily those days fewer DKSAB posters existed

I actually like Wilder, and think that he's good for the interest in the division....however...

That fight seemed too fishy to me. First up, why was Scott in an eliminator coming off a loss? Secondly, he's not a puncher. Thirdly, he's friends with Wilder. And finally, he went down from the first punch to connect.

Now - I know Wilder can punch, but it seemed too predictable that it would turn out this way. Wilder gets the win, GBP have a US heavyweight in a title fight ($$$), Wilder doesn't have to hurt his friend too much, and Scott gets away with a payday (either underhand or legitimately) and doesn't have to get literally knocked out, which lets face it no-one wants whether they are throwing the fight or not.

Scott didn't look shaken when he was on the canvas to me. And GBP had invested so much time in this guy grooming Wilder to be in this position.
I don't know - maybe Wilder just is an INSANE puncher - but it all stacked up perfectly for the powers that be last night. And was so predictable. Scott shoulda never got an eliminator off the back of a loss. It's just weird.

Good luck to Wilder though - he does liven up the division.

Either it was fixed or Scott threw the fight
There is noway this was a legitmate knockout.

They are clearly trying to build up Wilder as the next big thing, American heavy with biggest KO % in history to setup a mega fight with Klitschko and have American audiences drop $60 on PPV.

Golden boy, TopRank, Al Haymon all those guys are shady characters
