Lucas Browne vs Eric Martel Bahoeli for the Commonwealth heavyweight title - Yorkshire, April 26th.

Australia haven't won a Commonwealth heavyweight title for well over 100 years. History in the making here with Lucas Bowne :happy

lol at all the bitter browne huggers on the other sight. mouthing off at alex being a club fighter and lucas as a future title holder.

ironic that lucas is fighting a bum for the comm title and alex is fighting one of the best heavy champs in history.

lucas to beat the Canadian no name, then smash those big mouth poms.

Peter Jackson was our last Commonwealth heavyweight titlist way back in 1892.

History in the making here for Lucas ''Big Daddy" Browne. The boy from Auburn, NSW.

Exciting time for Australian boxing with Browne fighting for the Commonwealth title and Leapai for the world title. We haven't held either since 1892. Our heavyweight scene has never looked so good :good

Lucas Browne sounding very confident going into this one, and why shouldn't he be? 19-0 with 17 KOs is a good apprenticeship.

You pump Browne's opponent up by by saying "Bahoeli is a shock puncher and Hatton isn't doing Browne any favours here", and then in the next breath you try and pull Bahoeli down by saying he isn't rated.

Simple question. Do you see this as a good fight or not?

I also am confused about your description about Bahoeli?

IMO fighting Leapai at the time made no sense and in a way I am glad - Leapai propelled himself up the rankings with a shock win over a higher profile opponent and got himself a great payday and publicity. I would rather have Leapai then got some good UK / Euro or even US bouts and got more experience before being thrown at the championship. But great for Leapai and I will be barracking for him every step of the way unfortunately as he gets beaten by Klit who will show up his lack of opposition and rounds.

I would be rapt if all three, **** even one of our Aussie HW's took it seriously and had a go at blasting his way through the poms and having a crack at the US instead of ****ing around down here with each other.

You may have misinterpreted my question. I didn't ask is this the best fight out there. My question was do you see this as a good fight? But you've offered enough positives in your posts about Bahoeli to suggest you think it is a good fight :good

Australia needs to break through at heavyweight level after a long drought and plainly it's not going to be a walk in the park for Browne because Bahoeli will be full of confidence coming of 3 KO wins, and will be preparing for this one like its a world title opportunity.

Who's paying for Solomon-Browne? Solomon got KO'd by Johnson who is 1w 3l in his last 3 outings. No shame in that he KO'd Leapai who is fighting Wlad but nobody is shelling out $30 or $50 to watch Solomon-Browne.
He's better off fighting in the U.K if he wants to fight Chisora,Fury like he says rather than a 38 year old with no ranking no international profile and is only known by old league fans for walking out on his contract, nailing a hot Gabrielle Richens and being mates with Anthony Mundine.
Good luck to Lucas in his Commonwealth title shot.:good

Browne already has his sights set beyond the Commonwealth title fight:

"There's a big tournament in NZ In June that I'll be a part of, and then hopefully Chisora and Fury" - Lucas Browne on samsboxinghaven
