I didn't watch the fight until a few hours ago, i thought maybe Herrera surprised people by having more success than they thought he would. Most people thought Danny would steamroller this guy, and maybe because he didn't, Herrera then got more credit than he actually deserved...........but i have to be honest and say that i thought Herrera won the fight by at least a couple of rounds. He was the busier of the two, he was the one setting the pace and forcing the fight. He may not have landed the heavier blows, but he certainly outlanded Danny by a massive margin. Danny was just loading up all night trying to take Herrera out, and he missed the big left numerous times and looked clumsy doing so. If i give Danny the benefit of doubt, and give him a couple of rounds that could of gone either way, i still have it 115-113 Herrera. This result highlights everything that is wrong with the sport, and shows how much influence promoters and TV companies have on the officials.
Who landed the telling blows???? If Manny lands a telling blow you go down. Bradley was never hurt. Manny never landed any telling blows because Bradley is very slick defensively. That's why that fight sucked. NO ONE LANDED A TELLING BLOW. Yeah he 'beat' him around the ring with jabs. Common man. He never put anything on his punches. Power OR jab. How can you beat someone around the ring like that. He hardly landed any (weak) power shots the entire fight and you say he beat him around the ring. You guys watch the next Herrera fight while I'll watch Garcia then.....Have fun.....
Why bother watching ? Based on Saturday nights evidence, all Danny has to do is stay upright for 12 rounds and its a done deal.
Yeah I didn't watch it live either and I'm so used to hearing about robberies every sunday morning so I was skeptical as well, but after seeing it I would definitely say Herrera was the more effective of the two. Oh well, Herrera already has losses so in a way this "loss" probably made him some more fans then he previously had, not a career ender.
im in total agreement. you cant win a world title by just jabbing and grabbing. I read all the reports on sunday morning saying how herrera had been robbed so i watched the fight expecting to see a poor decision. I scored the fight round by round and had garcia winning by 3 in an ugly bout but all the quality work was from garcia. At world level the judges want more than just jab, head down, grab. box nation analysts were just as bad, theyre notoriously bad at scoring fights. the judges had this one about right.
What did Garcia do to win the fight? Are you counting Herrera's gloves and shoulder as a scoring zone or something?
I didnt see the fight so I googled the results. Apparently Garcia won for those wondering. For everyone saying Herrera won you have been misinformed.
