    Let's be real here.......

Degale has just struggled to beat a guy who went the distance in life and death with a journeyman who got koed in two by Eubank JR. His best win is over Dylah Davies LOL and everytime hes faced a genuine Super Middleweight hes struggled (Groves, Mohumadia and Wilczewski).

Wins over Bozic and Zuniga mean nothing and this guy is going nowhere believe me.

Now onto Groves! This guy is carrying serious glass and has the stamina of a pub drunk. He has beaten no one except an old man in Glen Johnson and a lucky win over Degale who isnt very good as a proffesional himself. Froch took him ridicolously light in the previous fight and the class will tell in the rematch. Groves says they are know going in ''knowing'' thats right that are going in knowing that he will gas and eventaully get taken out by round 10.

So if Groves has so much glass in his chin when why hasn't he ever been stopped except by an over-zealous ref, knocked down yes, but then he knocked down Froch. All this BS how Froch took Groves lightly in the first fight, he didn't, look at the pre-fight interviews, 'I'm not taking Groves lightly, he wants my titles, i'm going to give a one-sided whooping'. Froch needed an excuse on why he was eating so many right hands and sitting on his a*** within 2 minutes of the fight.

Not sure I'd go the to them lengths about either man.

De Gale has looked sloppy and lazy since he fought George Groves, Groves has obviously kicked on and got some good wins (well……. reasonable) in devastating fashion (at times).

    De Gale

Clearly he has an abundance of natural talent, and he cannot be fully judged until he's fought better opposition. Right now he has no rights to be ranked inside the top 10 in the world @168

    Groves

Promising young fighter who rightly resides inside the top 10 in the world right now.

They are the facts, despite what I think of either man as men, they are good fighters. I imagine De Gale will beat Bika and announce he is the second coming of Joe Calzaghe, I imagine Groves will beat Froch and announce he is the second coming of Adam Booth :D

It is likely that both men will win world titles in 2014, so they can't be that bad

How do you think DeGale and Groves would have got on back in 1997/1998

In 1997 the British Super Middleweight division was bursting with talent we had Calzaghe and Reid as undefeated world champs, & Woodhall soon to be a champ after Reid,
but our domestic front was good also with H Warton, D Starie, D Francis, C Woods and M Baker all somewhere around the British title level and G Catley in 98 jumped up from MW and had success at SMW.
So how do you think DeGale and Groves would have got on back then?

Not fair putting an 11 year old degale or groves in with calzaghe at that point bailey.
