One possible reason for why Ricans support Danny Garcia, who was given a very tough fight against a guy he was supposed to steamroll, is due to the fact that he is being trained by his dad, much like Tito being trained by his dad as well... It seems they love the Father/Son-Coach/Fighter story over there........I mean the guy can't even speak a lick of Spanish...I was also amused by the post-fight shout-out by Danny Garcia, which he delivered in Spanish, to the fans, which was obviously rehearsed....:bananamaniac

Nope. As a matter of fact, after posting this thread, I sat back and was reading a book entitled, "How to learn Spanish in 60 days" while drinking a beer, after being inspired by Danny Garcia's quick learning curve...:freddy

So, Garcia cannot read the menu at Taco Bell...is that really worthy of a thread?

Puerto Ricans rooted for Danny because Danny is Puerto Rican. Mexicans didn't stop rooting for Chavez Sr when they saw with their own eyes Sweetpea out box him.
