You think theyre equally good? Man, I don't know about that. But I do get the gist of what you're saying.
I don't see how Kovalev and Beterbiev are anything alike other than they're both Russian. Kovalev is more fluid, faster, stronger puncher and moves around the ring better. Beterbiev is physically strong, he's not in Kovalev's league at the moment and we don't know if he will ever be. Even though Kovalev is fighting much better competition, he's also knocking them out more impressively than Beterbiev with shitty competition. Maybe Beterbiev will become a huge threat if he develops, but as of this moment...Kovalev is a lot better than him.
Of course hes better than him. Beterbiev has 4 or 5 pro fights. That's a no brainer really. They are alike in the way that they box very well and both have power in both hands. They're both orthy's and both peck away looking for that big shot. Then after they land that big shot, they unload with crisp, straight, fundamentally sound combos. Though I think Beterbiev has amazing reflexes. But that's obviously magnified by his level of competition. Kovalevl and Beterbiev even stand similar and hold their hands similiarly.
