If you had to pick 4 fighters that have defined the last 14 years of boxing. Who would they be?

    Discuss :bbb

    2000-2014.

Im confused about whether or not they need to be around the same weight class, and having fought eachother.

    Could be .

    JMM/FMJ/PAC/COTTO

    JOE/BHOP/RJJ/?? As KUSH said

    MAB/PAC/JMM/ERIC As duranimal said

    I don't know.

The original Fab 4 all fought each other, if that is a condition then Morales vs JMM is a fight missing but still the rivalries between Morales, Pac, Barrera and JMM stand out the most.

    Top ten of 2000-2010
    1. Manny Pacquiao
    2. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
    3. Bernard Hopkins
    4. Erik Morales
    5. Joe Calzaghe
    6. Juan Manuel Marquez
    7. Roy Jones Jr.
    8. Marco Antonio Barrera
    9. Rafael Marquez
    10. Pongsaklek Wonjongkam

That period was notable for it's bantamweight scraps, specifically Pac, Morales, JMM, and MAB. Though you could make a case for Jones, Hopkins, Calzaghe, though Jones was washed up for most of the period you are describing.

If I were to pick 4 boxers to take the place of the fab 4 I'd pick Pac as Duran, Mayweather as Leonard, Martinez as Hagler, and Paul Williams for Hearns.

If we mean the star money makers then Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, and Miguel Cotto.

    Based upon number of appearances and then positions they appeared, here are the p4p top 4;

    1. Mayweather. 9 appearances, 1 position place more than B-Hop
    2. B-Hop. 9 apperances, 1 position place less than Floyd
    3. Pac. 7 appearances.
    4. Erik Morales. 6 appearances.

In terms of fights with each other, you'd probably have to go with JMM, Pac, Morales & Barrera

Floyd Mayweather is head and shoulders much better than any other boxer of his era. Nobody stood out like that during those times. Mayweather has no rivals. Just a guy who claimed to be his equal as long as he didnt have to test for drugs. In 2009 pac ended negotiations and fought a PAID OFF CLOTTEY instead of taking a drug test for the biggest payday for a beating he could have ever received. Its too bad his entire fanbase gave their thumbs up to his drug addiction and blatant duck of the most prized fighter this world has ever seen, FLOYD "MONEY" MAYWEATHER.
