Robert Garcia: "Maidana Will Throw 100 Shots Per Round"

I watched a video of ALex Ariza confirming that this is the Garcia camps gameplan- to throw over 100 punches per round and just "throw them regardless of where they land."

There have been a lot of idiotic strategies by opposing trainers against Floyd Mayweather, but this one takes the cake.

I can't remember once in any of Floyd's fights where anyone threw 100 punches in any round against him. Especially since fighting at WW and JMW, he's not a big Welterweight at all so he's been a lot more defensive in the higher weights than he was when he fought at 130-140 where he was an offensive virtuoso as well as being the best defensive fighter.

Maidana won't come close to throwing 100 shots in any round, he'd be lucky if he gets off 50-60 in the first round, he'll find out Floyd actually packs some power in his punches. Than I expect maidana will be trigger shy from that point on from the clean counterpunches coming back at him. It has a good chance ending early.

 

Sounds good, but why would he divulge their strategy? Kind of like saying "here's our strategy Mayweather so you know exactly what to prepare for". Not buying it.

 

Odds are against maidana but fu ck that I'm riding with him.Against all odds.

But it may be fine to see him land a few in the first few rounds, when floyd is still in sleep mode like he is for the first few rounds. After that-if it gets that far, Floyd will make him look like nervous virgin on his first date with a experienced women.

 

I guess air is going to get his ass kicked that night because that's the only thing Maidana will hit with those 100-per-round punches.

Well if one of those bombs lans on Floyd, can we all agree that it will have to be a punch that many fail to admit exists?? The lucky punch does indeed exist afterall. The judges will do what Void tells them to do, the same with the referee. They do not want to get Void angry with them. However, Maidana could fool everyone, we will see, but if Maidana were to beat Void, he will still lose on the cards. Maidana has to go for a knock out, but the referee will do all he can to stop him.

 

Everybody said before the fight, " I know how to beat Floyd " but after all of them tried, they failed. It doesn't matter how many punches Maidana will throw per round. If most of those punches miss the target, they will be useless.
