Vinny Paz when asked if he got lucky in his first fight with Dana Rosenblatt: "It was only the third round!"

    That's not the point, pimp.

The point is FLOYD FEARS PAC.

I have made many posts on this fear and never have I picked Manny to beat Floyd. I have always agreed that Floyd is the better boxer and would definitely be the favourite IF they fought.

That being said, no fight's outcome is a certainty and most would agree that for most of the past five years, Manny would have been Floyd's most dangerous opponent.

He found many excuses to avoid the challenge, and most in boxing know why this fight never took place.

Ultimately, while Floyd will undoubtedly rank high, this duck will always be a stain on his resume.

Dumbass. A LOT of talented fighters would have retired UNDEFEATED if they also cherrypicked opposition and avoided the toughest challenges around. Is Sven Ottke worthy of the GOAT label too?
Imagine if fighters like Leonard, Hagler, Hearns etc had avoided each other all the time and fought nothing but Guerrero-level opponents during their career. They could've retired undefeated yeah, but wouldn't have gotten a fraction of the respect they enjoy, legacy wise they'd be just ¨what ifs¨, like Floyd is.

An undefeated record only means something when you actually faced the top opposition available, as in Marciano's case. In Floyd's case it only means he's a master cherrypicker

I think what the problem is, is that ur taking it way too literal... The point is that it's random and accidental... Both involve luck, that is purely the point, and that's all I ever alluded to... Making a half court shot u never made before is accidental, just like landing a punch ur throwing with ur eyes closed, winning a jackpot at the slots... ALL LUCKY

Just remember, I'm not talking about the specific act of pulling the lever, I'm talking about the act of winning the jackpot.

Ignoring all the technicalities ur mentioning cause they don't relate to my point, I'm no less convinced throwing a punch can't be considered lucky.

    Try that... :thumbsup

Sometimes punches are thrown on instinct, such as when a fighter is hurt, taking shots and covering up, but then gets the Ko throwing a punch on instinct.
    Some would consider that lucky

Lucky punches do happen, if a fighter swings a hail mary without looking in the last round of a fight he's losing then yes there is an element of luck there.

I think JMM had been throwing the overhand right against Pacquiao for 4 fights, he done well to time it to get the knockout so I wouldn't say that one was lucky.

same exact p4p rating as he is. paq would have been called a cherry pick against a 1 dimensional opponent who lost to a way past it drained morales

First it was blood test, then it was purse split, now its Bob Arum. LOL, could you imagine Leonard making excuse after excuse or demand after demand to block the fight with Hearns/Duran/Haglar. Mayweather ducked the biggest fight in the last 30 yrs. just admit it. Even his best friend 50 cent said he ducked the fight. Give me a break.
