How did Al Haymon become so powerful?

He managed to sign some people other guys wanted to fight. So then he goes around and says "if you wanna fight my guy sign over a percentage of all your future purses to me, and I cant promise you the fight but you will get the fight". So people sign with him, and usually do get the fight they wanted.

Also, for those inclined - he tells people he can make them music/crossover stars since he was a big music biz promoter. Most recent victim of this was Adonis. Adonis talks about how Haymon gonna make him a rap superstar or something...

Incidently, one of the biggest complaints about Haymon before was that his clients never fought eachother. Now the complaint is that too many of his clients are fighting eachother.

he got into floyds head right before Floyd became a huge megastar...once in his head, Floyd started calling out his name in every damn interview....other fighters caught on and so on and so on....he doesn't show his face a lot, but he sure makes sure that all his fighters shout his name out ever damn time they see a mic.....
