Probably. Alvarez at 152 is the only questionable fight in my opinion.

I have no doubt that the Duran who fought Davey Moore and destroyed him would also stop Alvarez. Duran's a beast because not only can he hit like a truck, he can take a punch better than almost anyone I've ever seen, if he gets hit, because he also has a superb defense.

I admit I am a fan of floyd. I may not agree with everything he does outside the ring, but that is his life. yes, I would like to see him fight pacquiao and bradley and any other good fighter out there. That being said, it's rather surprising that many claim that he is no where as good as he claims to be but set him such standards that seem to display more of hate/ envy than reason.

    1. We all say GGG does not have to go up in weight to fight ward ( one weight above him) but floyd must fight people several weights above him or he is ducking.

    2. Who else in 147lbs category could have been put against the maidana of today and have fans call iT a **** fight? Many know khan can't knock out or out point floyd, but say floyd is ducking khan.

    3. Floyd picks a legitimate champion who has a belt and has won his last 4 fights with three by way of knockout, and ring magazine calling the forth upset of the year..... Yet we call it cherry.

    4. We all make up fighters who would give he problems, and when he takes them to school, we make excuses.

    5. Before the canelo vs angulo fight, all I heard was lara this, lara that.... Floyd in reply told us not to judge canelo by what he was able to do to him.... Now it's angulo fight was fixed.... Not canelo is good/fast... Cos we don't want to give floyd the credit he deserves.

    6. Floyd beats a good fighter like Mosley, and we say Mosley is past his prime.... I hope you all realise floyd is 37 and would give him the same excuse in the event he ever takes a loss.

    7. We let our emotions cloud our judgment of skill and ability. When our favourite fighters lose speed or power, we say they are no longer at their prime... We hear things like "prime manny" would beat floyd if the fight was held 5years ago.

    8. It takes a true great champion to adapt his fighting methods to his age when he grows older to remain effective. You can't expect to have the same speed and power you had at 26. Floyd has been one of the few boxers who has adapted and conserves his energy by timing and out thinking his opponent .

    9. Floyd was a beast at lover divisions, but is now fighting chess matches. A fighter can not be 36 and be faster and more powerful than the youngsters..... That's where experience and intelligence comes in.

    10. When others fight at a catch weight, we don't see anything wrong. When floyd fights at a catch weight, he drained his opponent. When others utilise the ring it is called "foot movement", when floyd does it, it's called running.

    11. When floyd asks for OSDT, he is trying to be the boss, when K.O6 takes place, drugs testing should be carried out on each fighter. Some fighters pick and choose when to undergo drug testing but nothing is said.... "If you have ariza in your corner, we have to do OSDT , but if you don't, you don't have to.

When some of these points are raised, people say they call him out because he says he is the best ever. Everyone is entitled to their opinions ( just like I don't have a right to judge those who will tell me that I don't know **** about boxing) if you can write cheques that your mouth can cash, why not. Boxers don't go into the ring believing that there exist a man who could defeat them..... If you have talked the talk for 17yrs and walked the walk, then in my eyes, you are the goods.

Manny pacquiao is a hell of a fighter, but at 36, all we hear him depend on is his speed and power. And when the speed and power does not cut it, does he possess the ability to out think his opponent? We all saw Danny garcia could not figure out a plan b when his plan A was obviously not working. How many fighters can we really say have the ability to make a fighter fight their fight and adapt to achieve success?

If this make me out to be a "*****" I accept the term.

Easy on the hyperbole. Duran didn't hit like a truck above 135 but he was no doubt a beast. Duran would probably beat Alvarez at 154 but I'm not so sure he would ko him. He didn't take Hearns punch that well at 154 but Alvarez is no Hearns. I only give Alvarez the slightest possibility of beating Duran.

The poll should have had a choice or two between top 25 and top 10. I think he'd be in the 15-20 range had he fought and beat a prime Pacquiao.

If Floyd beats pac man he may move up one or two spots solely on name recognition, PAC scalp isn't worth that much, after all he looks/is beatable.

Now if PAC beats Floyd, he instantly jumps 10-20 spots on any bodies ATG list.

Mayweather used to have the boxing world in the palm of his hand.. he became spoiled, he became hard to deal with. he became a Diva. THEN, Manny Pacquiao Came to the picture Stole his Thunder… Became Better than him and messed up his place in boxing history…Hence, the immediate anger of Floyd against Pacquiao… Hence, all the bad mouthing , all the discrediting , all the downplaying of Pacquiao’s achievements.

Floyd's reaction to Pacquiao's Success was Envy. His damage control solution is to discredit Pacquiao as much as possible while avoiding to fight him as well.
( hence, the sudden racist rants. hence, the childish tantrums, all negative about Pacquiao) and people have take notice of that.

Floyd’s Hates the attention Pacquiao gets in America… Floyd Hates he is overshadowed by a foreigner in his own country.

American Boxing icons, experts and legends who confirms Mayweather is scared of Manny Pacquiao.
    1) Mike Tyson
    2) Roy jones jr
    3) Larry Holmes
    4) Marvin hagler
    5) Bert sugar - greatest boxing historian
    6) Michael Wilbon - espn
    7) sugar Ray Leonard
    Tim Bradley
    9) Oscar dela Hoya
    10) 50 cent - Boxing Promoter and best friend
    11) Max Ledermann
    12) Larry Merchant
    13) Stephen A Smith -Converted Die hard Fan.
    16) Evander Holyfield
    17) Skip Bayless
    1 so much more....

Now, show me anyone. or any list of boxing experts more credible than this. saying Floyd is NOT afraid to face the Greatest......America is known to be the home of the brave.. Then this ***g0t coward Mayweather came along and spoiled it for everyone..

I think the fact that Duran got up so quickly after the Hearns knockout should be a testament to how good his chin is.

I was thinking of the Barkley fight, where he took Barkley's best punches throughout the fight, and decked him in the 11th. This was the same Barkley who beat Hearns twice. And against Moore he did beat the crap out of him, there's no other way to describe it. So no he didn't have the same power as he did at 135 but he had enough to stop titleholders.
