Good comment, very few people seem to know this.

De La hoya would box circles around duran. See chavez vs oscar 1 as an example

Like a hot knife through butter, he'd probably win all by KO aswel.

The Moore, Barkley and Hagler fights dispel that idea. He goes 15 round with a prime Hagler losing by about 2 rounds and is the first guy to go the distance with him during his reign but Alvarez would be too much?

Who said Alvarez would be too much? I said Alvarez is the only possible guy in Mayweather's resume that could possibly defeat Duran. Hagler admitted after the Duran fight that he gave Duran too much respect in the ring. A prime Hagler in search and destroy mode would annihilate Duran.

 No he would not. If that was the case and Hagler could have done something different i think it would have occurred to him during the 15 rounds they did fight, easy to say otherwise once its over. Also funny how he rematched killers like Obel and Hamsho when he could have annihilated Duran for way more money in a rematch...

No one was interested in Hagler rematching Duran when there were fighters like Mugabi and Hearns on the horizon. I saw the Hagler v Duran fight and it frankly wasn't that exciting. Hagler took it easy on Duran for some reason, probably out of respect like he said. If Hearns could knock Duran on his face, I have no doubt that Hagler could have too.

What happened between then and now? Did PAC age while floyd froze his age? Last I heard Floyd's older. So except you associate help with the word prime, I don't get you. So why did PAC lose his edge and floyd didn't?

I think the only way we can get to see this fight is if there was a winner takes all clause in the contract. Promoters, sparring partners, camps and everything to be sorted out by individual fighters with the winner taking home the whole purse after promotional and venue expenses have been deducted... That way if floyd wins, arum does not get a penny from him, and if PAC wins, he gets the bragging rights, pay of all taxes, and arum gets to wash it in Floyd's face..... Problems solved.... 100% of the money...... Let's see who speaks quak-quak... P.s this is not fighting for charity....winner gets double, so please i don't want the excuse that someone else suggested this to floyd.

Yes and he'd look more impressive. Plus he wouldn't "retire" and he wouldn't have any catchweight fights, oh plus he wouldn't have avoided a blow:Dn up flyweight.
