If Duran lost to Vinny Paz, Kirkland Laing and Robbie Sims, do you think that it would be possible for him to lose to Alvarez on those same nights? You are a Duran fan, I get it. So am I. I rate Duran much higher than Mayweather on the atg list. However, I said it was possible that Alvarez maybe could have beat Duran, not that he definitely would have. lol at the sensitivity of hardcore Duran fans.

Objectively, which fighter (or fighters)on Floyd's resume is (are)better than Roberto Duran?

De Jesus is certainly in my book as good a fighter as the majority of Floyd's opponents.

I wouldn't say that Mayweather was better than Duran. On the other hand, I wouldn't say that Vinny Paz, Kirkland Laing or Robbie Sims were better than Alvarez, and I am not an Alvarez fan.

Good post:good. But Duran was ANCIENT when he fought Paz. And he was hit or miss 154 and above: see Laing, Benitez, Tommy and Sims as opposed to Moore, Barkley and Hagler. But, I believe that the Duran that fought Moore would beat Canelo, and the Duran that beat Leonard would beat Oscar.

Exactly. That's the point I am trying to make. Duran wasn't a sure thing above 147 and there is a possibility that MAYBE he might have lost to Alvarez at 152 although Alvarez isn't one tenth the fighter that Duran was.

Why? Both parties are confident of winning and at the same time need or want the money and don't want to share... Why split when u can steal? Let's see who writes cheques their mouth can't cash. If you can fight for charity then why not take everything and give what you want to charity?

Duran is a top 10 ATG, why is this even up for debate. Before anyone goes there I'm a Money fan.
