I don't care how confident you are of winning, bad decisions happen, injuries happen, and just 1 punch can end the fight. Doing winner take all in that sort of environment is not very smart. I can't see either side actually agreeing to it.

You evidently have more faith in Pac than Arum does. Between the magical, mystical stadium to be built in a parking lot, the deadlines and the cuts that take nine months to heal, Arum never seemed that interested in making the fight to me. LMAO at Arum accepting an IOU from Pac. The humor on this site is outrageous.

Unfortunately Mayweather has the skills but just cannot accomplish what Pacquiao has done... 8 division champion or for you Pac haters.... Make it 6 division champion.

Mayweather knows when to fight ''champions'', a year or 2 ago we never have thought of a Mayweather-Maidana fight. :deal

Maidana is tailor made for Mayweather, Easy decision win for Mayweather.
    Maidana....
    - No foot work.
    - Sloppy punches.
    - No head movement.
    = Mayweather by UD.

I never said anything about a charity fight. That was nothing but a publicity stunt by Pacquiao. He's not about to fight Mayweather for free.

Yes, KO win against most of Mayweather's opponents especially Victor Ortiz who was ''Young & Hungry warrior'' - Mayweather jr.

Many people (myself included) would give Floyd much more credit if only he didn't talk so much crap

We're talking about a guy who labels himself as the GOAT, as ¨better than Robinson¨, ¨better than Ali¨, etc his fans also call him that, so well, when the **** he's gonna prove it? His best victory so far is Diego Corrales ffs

If you have the nerve to make those claims, you should at the very least, fight the toughest opposition in your weight class and defeat them. Mind you, I'm not even expecting Floyd to fight at MW or above like other people do, but he's a champion in two divisions and should be facing the top fighters and not just tailor made no hopers like Guerrero and Maidana.

Pacquiao, Lara, GGG at 154, those are the types of fighters he should be facing right now, but Floyd actively avoids anyone who has a slim chance to beat him. He needs to get his head out of his arse and stop talking **** like he's the GOAT if he's not willing to back it up. same goes to his fans

Although I wasn't a fan of the scoring in that fight, Duran was ahead after 12 rounds, but lost the championship rounds. If you listen to Gill Clancey talk about this fight during the Duran - Barkley fight he said that he asked Duran want happened and he said he just didn't have the energy to keep up with Hagler in those late rounds. Duran was up and down later in his career mostly due to partying and huge weight gains, but when he came to fight fully prepared, there weren't many better. And certainly there's no one on Mayweather's resume that would cause Duran problems, with the possible exception of a prime ODH.

The people that don't like Mayweather are always going to find a way to discredit him. It really doesn't matter though. The man gets plenty of respect for his skills and accomplishments.

But Mayweather is fighting Marcos Maidana who is a ''champion'' and also fought Alvarez @ 152 who was the ''champion''.

I honestly think that Mayweather knows when to fight his opponents, take a look at Alvarez who was young and drained @ 152.

Robert Duran vz. Victor Ortiz.

I can just imagine how much entertainment Vic would provide us fighting all those guys, Duran, Hearns, Leonard, Benitez......

Pacquiao has 2 attributes that Floyd also excels at

    speed and huge stamina

needless to say, if you don't have those attributes you'll never beat Floyd

Floydette keeps his zero intact by ducking anyone who posseses those attributes

Canelo is the most recent example: young, strong dude, very good skills and power, counterpunching ability, size advantage, etc. BUT guess what, horrible stamina and the footspeed of a 60yo grandpa. Weight drained too, for good measure. And he's already one of Floyd's signature wins :verysad

Agree. More than a coward, he's an opportunist, my guess is he watched the Trout match, saw Canelo's glaring flaws, realized he'd pose little threat with his crap stamina and slow footspeed, and got to ginger before ginger could get more experience or improve his stamina (which he's been slowly improving since then), tried to weight drain him too to have even more advantage. Canelo can't even make 154 (he paid Angulo 100000 so they could fight at 155) much less a bs catchweight of 152

Duran was like 1000 years old when fought Paz LOL.

Are we going by a hypothetical timeline in which Duran fights once, maybe twice a year like Mayweather?

Maybe it was the wear-and-tear of 70, 80 pro fights that caused him to get lackadasical, but I still think that Duran at this stage would've gone complacent. All the accomplishments he already had, all the money he would have made.
