if the stick and move southpaw alexander couldn't beat porter....what makes ppl think the softer punching, slower, stick and move malignaggi will???
I am rooting for Paulie and I could see him pulling off the win. But if you made me bet money I would put it on Porter.
Paulie has great boxing skills. I say great not good. His only problem is that he can't punch, and has a reputation for that, so fighters go into the fight not respecting the his power. I got Paulie by UD though.
Rolling with Porter in this one this isn't a faded Judah or an over hyped Broner here. Porter has some skills .
Porter, is a natural 147 lber and good good pop and skills and good father -trainer. Too much for paulie here. Porter, wants to establish himself as the next star at 147.
can see Paulie taking a few rounds, but struggle to see him taking any more. sure, we don't know how Porter will react when Paulie keeps him off balance with the jab then starts slipping and dipping off to the side when he marches forward. he could be all over the place and find it hard to get accurate punches off. Porter will get the right sparring partners in to work on the rhythm of the style, i'm sure of it. but stranger things have happened. can't see it happening with this one though. Porter is too fresh for a well past his best Malignaggi.
I've never been even remotely impressed by Porter. I didn't see the Alexander fight, but was shocked to hear the result. I don't know wtf to think about a fight with Paulie. Paulie can't hang with the young, big dogs at 147. But I never thought Porter could either. Will be interesting to see go down
