what fighters, past or present, are the best at neutralizing southpaws? i know a good right hand is essential, with the obvious picks being hopkins and mayweather. anyone else?

Wladimir is the HW specialist in fighting southpaws. Has fought more than any other HW in history

he wasn't always succesful (see Sanders) but at least he never avoided them like the plague like Lewis did

As far as orthodox fighters go, Hopkins is pretty good against lefties. Despite his reported issues with lefties, Mayweather is something like 7 or 8-0 vs. lefties.

You would be a red man if you looked Mundine's 51 fight record because he's only fought about 3 southpaws :patsch

McKart was about 40 at the time. Alvarez isn't even the best fighter in his own family, and the one you missed out on was the legendary Marc Bargero

Stopping Bagero in only his 5th fight was impressive, Mundine is almost 40 himself. There are a lot of good family's in boxing, your post is fuelled by pure hate.
You really must not like the guy to go out of your way to discredit his accomplishments.

Great scott man! He's fought 3 ordinary southpaws in a 51 fight career and you are rating him in this thread amongst the best boxers at fighting southpaws :patsch

He didn't just beat them, he dominated them.

what's funny about that is everybody struggles a little with southpaws, but Mayweather struggles less than a far majority of fighters. Hopkins is seen as a specialist for southpaws, but he lost to 2 of them.

    I reiterate:

McKart was about 40. Alvarez not even the best fighter in his own family, and Marc Bargero

You should be a very redman indeed for suggeting Mundine here :patsch
