I have a horrible feeling Ian's fitness will let him down but one things for sure hell come out swinging and might catch Chambers.
    Looking forward to watching this.

Lewison was a stand out amateur apparently he beat solis & Helenius, hasn't made any waves as a pro although he may surprise us.

Eddie Chambers at his best is a Top 15 Heavyweight who has already fought the best Heavyweight out there, i know he lost his fight at Cruiserweight but it was probably a bad move for him to move to 200lbs where he loses his speed and footwork advantages, moving back up to Heavyweight he's still young enough to get back into the mix.

I can't see how an untested guy like Lewison being able to compete against Chambers but i like the fact he's willing to gamble as a win over Eddie would catapult his career and get all the big promoters interested in him.

Not quite the same, but people were saying the same about a certain george groves before his fight with froch not so long ago.

I don't remember Groves losing and drawing to the likes of Pavel Dolgovs, Colin Kenna and Derric Rossy.

You can disregard the Rossy fight as he did enough to win that and it was only 3rds but he should be put the likes of Dolgovs and Kenna away even on his worst night.

I think Lewison has good power but i don't think much of his boxing skills inbetween him landing power shots so if he dosen't manage to land them against Chambers he's in for a long night of getting jabbed and outpointed.

Lewison was unlucky in Prizefighter and should have gotten the nod against Rossey IMO. Anything could have happened against A-Farce in the final.

This will be an interesting fight. Both desperately neeed the win to kick start the careers.

Although the Dolgovs fight was only his second fight, he knocked Dolgovs down 3 times in the second and only managed a draw in a 4 round fight?!?! Did anyone happen to see this fight?

i didnt see that fight but always thought that was dodgy

The kenna fight was also a robbery imo

He's been unlucky in his career, partly due to himself and partly due to factors that are simply out of his control.

I'm just hoping that at the very least he puts on a cracking show to get the promoters interested in him.

There are plenty of fights out there for Ian.
Even if loses to Chambers he could still fight maybe Anthony Joshua for the Southern Area title on the Froch Groves undercard.

I think that hope will come true. I can see Chambers beating him but not stopping him,and then if he keeps active maybe winning the British title. They're making a big fuss out of Fury/Chisora being for that title. A lot will disagree but I think they're beyond that now and should leave it to the boxers below them, like Lewison.By the way Jack, you mention his win over Solis. Do you,or anybody else know the circumstances of that, where it was,how the fight went, etc??
