No **** he has a history of not making fights. Hell he wouldn't even make Gamboa-Juanma even though both were signed with Top Rank. Arum is the biggest POS in boxing today.

Others have answered this question as good as I can, but as to your comment about Duran having no business losing to Simms, let's just wait until Mayweather starts fighting middleweights before making any kind of comparison regarding Duran's win-loss record at middleweight. As mentioned Simms fought title matches and beat Barkley so he wasn't all that bad.

I'm not saying Simms was a top echelon fighter but when you're fighting at a weight level very few lightweights have ever ventured to go, it's pretty hard to criticise a performance that results in a split decision loss, especially when you compare it to anything Mayweather has done. And as I mentioned earlier, even SRL, who watched the fight live, said that Duran got robbed with this decision.

And against Laing, that was another split decision loss with the score being 94-96, 96-94, 96-94, so it wasn't like Duran lost decisively.
I'm sure if Mayweather or any other fighter for that matter, fights long enough, they are going to get close decisions go against them.

Because he felt pac was on something and for good reason he refused to test for years.:deal Tyson also asked Holyfield to test and he was smart in doing so because he has been now linked to roids. If you're a clean fighter you don't object to testing period. Especailly a test given to both fighters. You have a losing argument made even worse now since Pac has done the type of testing for Rios. Pac tests for Rios but wouldn't test for PBF??? I guess he must be dirty scared a ducker or all three?:rofl:hi::deal

Everyone is just supposed to give Team Pac (or Arum rather) whatever they want because he is a hero in his homeland. Nothing Pacquiao could ask/demand would be unreasonable in the eyes of his fans. Even the biggest boricuas and floboners have for the most part shown they will admit when Cotto or Floyd is being a diva. Think how rare it is to see a Pac fan say anything critical of Pac in any way, it is like they're mentally unable to.

That's because being a ******* is a disease for which there's no cure. These people live in Pacland and have even made a site called Pacland for him where they can all post and praise their God.:nut That right there shows you how crazy and devoted these *******s are.

It's not that, I don't hold it against him that he's better than the others and the era is not strong.

It's the inactivity, and the failure to face the other top guy in this era. I don't want to get into the tired debate over what happened and why they didn't fight, I personally blame both fighters as well as Arum, but it's this fight not taking place that really causes a lot of dissatisfaction among fans.

Of course, there would be SOME critics still, but for the most part, it would die down. But it's too late, the fans have already been screwed, we should have gotten it in 2010-2011.

There's always going to be SOME people that still criticize a certain athlete and say "he needs to do this, he needs to do that". I think athletes often make a big thing about the critics and magnify it because it gives them motivation

Pretty much any professional fighter could do frightening damage to the average person in a fight.

Rather than simply blindly supporting Mayweather, why don't you consider the validity of the criticism? If the points are valid, then they're valid. Doesn't matter whether or not you like the guy. Most (so called haters) are simply disappointed in him for not taking on the best fighters that are available.

Laing had a lot of talent and when he was focused and on his game he could be a handful for most in his division imo.
