    Angelo Dundee was Leonard's matchmaker from when Leonard turned pro. I remember Dundee saying that at the time there were people who were accusing him of bringing Leonard along too slow.

    Yeah SRL was rightfully the super hype of his era & the fans had unrealistic expectations they probably wanted a Loma like pro debut, it would have been an unbearable hype if it was in the internet era :yep

    1/100 times when the hype lives to its expectations as in SRL case :bbb

    Why don't you, rather than focusing on the beginning of their career, focus on their opposition's record in world title fights? Would mean more than this. Often novices with high prospects face heavily experienced journeyman with 100+ fights and a sub .500 record. That beyond skews these stats and make these utterly meaningless without, as is always the case, going through and valuing each victory individually.

    How can you say Robinson and Khan don't apply because they began their career south of WW when you include several fighters who began their careers also outside of the WW division, some for significant times:

    Maidana- mostly competed at 140 to begin his career

    Porter- began his career competing at 160 and 154 before dropping down to WW recently

    Brook- very few of his first 22 fights were fought in the WW division... most were at JMW and there were about as many at JWW as there were at WW... Why is he on this list but Robinson and Khan can't be?

    Whats utterly meaningless is taking roided old featherweights into consideration

    we keeping it real :deal. Sorry Pacman don't qualify, he never saw 22-0-0, we have to be *******ing every thread :huh

    Also Thurman KTFO JMM or Pacman inside 4 rds, stats :hi:

    Brook only fought 7 of his first 22 fights at WW yet he makes the list...

    Where is the cutoff? Need they only fight once at WW in their first 22 to apply?

    Why are you accusing me of being a fan of Pacquiao and Khan? I have disliked them for many years ever since their fanbase turned me completely off of the fighters themselves...

    Sorry I had this as first post in the thread from yesterday
    I am focusing on prospects for now, as they all start out undefeated...its nice to compare how they turned out later...I want to finish welter based on Thurman 22-0-0 vs the undefeated Welters 22-0-0 from all time, to compare how they were brought up :thumbsup
