    :deal

and to *****s, Pac's career will be tainted because he walked away from Floyd's tests :rofl

    it goes like this:

"...it's the hypocrisy of Floyd's fans that's funny..." - Doug Fischer (RING TV)

He is leaps and bounds better. They are very different fighters, but at their core they are smart boxers. Floyd edges him in that department. To defend my answer though, is the speed and reflexes.

So who on Pacquiaos resume beats Floyd at that particular time?

You mention Oscar, he was good against Floyd whether he was OTH or not. When he fought Pacquiao 18 months later, now that was different level shot to ****

    floyd is faster
    smarter
    better timing
    higher ring iq

marquez throws better combinations (honestly one of the most beautiful combo punchers the sports ever seen)
more aggressive rather then defensive as a counter puncher (not really a positive or negative)

The question doesn't really need asking. Oscar's fight with Floyd was only his 3rd fight in three years and he was 34. He was still in good shape, but a long way past his peak.

But he gave Floyd a really good fight. So much so, that Floyd 'Money' Mayweather who's in the cheque cashing business, didn't want to make millions of dollars from a rematch.

Duran did get up from Hearns' punch before the count of ten though. Most guys got put to sleep by Hearns back then.

The ref stopped it because he didn't want Duran to take any unnecessary punishment. Duran did have a great chin. He never went down when he fought other hard-hitters like Hagler and Leonard.

What's the deal with all of Oscar's advantages? They weren't HUGE advantages were they?

    Gloves? So what?

    Ring size?

    Weight class?

It doesn't change the fact that Oscar was an inactive 34 year old, who was past his best having had 42 fights.

Yes he was but also on the night he would have weighed more than a stone heavier than Floyd in the ring. It was a good fight, Oscar boxed well but tired by the championship rounds, think I only gave the fight to Floyd by a round.

Yeah true, that Duran would have stopped Oscar. When Duran trained no one really beat him apart from say Hagler.
