I'm sorry but no. The problem here is the Triple Duck fans lack any type of objectivity about their hero.

If we're going to be honest about Golovkin then the truth is he hasn't fought anyone other than a long list of TOMATO CANs. The guy is almost *32*, has held that paper title for TWO years and has only one victory over a top ten middleweight - who just happened to be 1-2 in his last three fights. Golovkin has fought NOBODY.

Sure, the guy hits hard but knocking out recycled TOMATO CANs is not what makes a great fighter. Triple Duck's handlers didn't want to talk about 168 whenever Andre Ward's name was mentioned claiming that they wanted to clean up 160. Now, all of a sudden, they want to entertain a Chavez fight? At 168? What the hell happened to taking care of business @ 160?

This guy is so protected that it makes the job Arum did with Pacquiao look like Manny got tossed to the wolves. Golovkin is ALL hype until he fights someone with a pulse....

Jr. could definitely stop GGG's KO streak, just based on his fight-night weight and granite chin, but I could see a body-shot KO occurring, too, especially if they are fighting inside. It should be interesting. I suspect Jr. will try fighting inside to smother GGG's power, so we'll see how GGG handles an inside fighter who can hit reasonably hard.

Jr. should probably just retire if he has to go up to 175. Adonis and Kovalev (and maybe even Shumenov) would hurt him badly up there, and Hopkins would school him.

They've always said they would take a fight with Chavez even if they didn't take care of business at 160 first.

So, Triple Duck will fight Chavez @ 168 but not Ward?

    Sounds like quacking to me....

He knows he wouldn't get that much money fighting Ward at this point in time, so why would he fight him and have a much higher risk of losing for less money? It's not like Ward can fight at the moment anyway. Both have said the fight would be a bigger fight down the line, so why rush it? It's the same reason why other belt holders aren't lining up to fight Golovkin. The risk isn't worth the reward. It's not always a duck. It just is when it's a case of a fighter you like or a fighter you dislike. Give it time. They'll eventually fight.

The only reason it's a "paper title," as you call it, is because Sturm ducked him forever, thereby robbing him the chance to fight a champion for that title. Furthermore, after Geale got the title from Sturm, Geale was stripped of the title rather than fight GGG, so again, GGG was robbed of the opportunity to fight a champion for the title. Furthermore, countless other guys have followed suit since GGG got the belt by turning down fights--ducks. So if he's a "paper champion," it's through no fault of his own. He's fought NOBODY, as you say, because NOBODY will get in the ring at 160 without big "risk money." So, this Jr. fight is another stepping stone towards getting these guys their "risk money" to man-up.

There are two videos of Andre ward saying a fight with GGG "might" make sense "down the road" but not now, again, "might". Ward says it would be a PPV in the future, if they fought. One is a ring-side interview during one of his commentator gigs, and the other is in a lobby or something with a couple of other people in the camera shot. I'm sure people can find them on YouTube. How come those are not a duck, since you say GGG saying something similar is a duck? Ward basically said "not now, later... maybe"... sounds a lot like your definition of a duck. Again, you prove my assertion that you're nothing more than a prejudiced observer masquerading as an objective party. As far as we know, neither side has officially offered, or officially turned down a fight with the other, so calling either guy a duck is silly.

Since you use the word "business," let me educate you on such. Boxing is a business, and if Jr. is going to call out GGG and give GGG the ability to use Jr. to boost his ratings, thereby boosting his monetary backing, thereby boosting his ability to get these 160lb duckers in the ring through cash, GGG is going to take it. That's why he's going after the 168 Jr. fight. You who defend Mayweather for taking money fights over challenging fights should, better than anyone, be able to respect such a move, if you're objective. Furthermore, if he plans on moving to 168 for Ward and the like after he's done at 160, he has to try the waters there sooner or later, why not against Jr? Basically, the jump to 168 to fight Jr. is two-fold: to boost GGG's ratings and test the waters at 168 against a solid fighter.

If GGG is all hype, Jr. will expose him, right? I mean a hype job can't beat Jr., especially with a huge weight disadvantage, right? Account bet, then?

    key right here:

Golovkin move up to the super middleweight limit of 168-pounds.

would have preferred to have hte fight at a catch weight of 163 or so but this puts triple GGG at a disadvantage.. he shoudl take it still.

Even when he wins ( though gifts ) he is always complaining using excuses!!!

Jr. is a Bum...a glorified tomato can!!!!!

There are just as many PPV's scheduled as regular broadcasts on HBO boxing. This is an absolute joke.

Golovkin forced to move up for a real fight because 160 is full of cowards like Sturm, Geale and Murray.
