Gary is good...he's young, fast and has solid skills. But he's not on Loma's level. I've seen Russell fight and spar...he's right up the way from where I live and I've watched the kid from AM bouts in Maryland...so I know how good he is...but Loma is on another level.

Well, I've seen Loma almost beat Salido.

I've never seen Russell compete with anyone of any relevance.

Whispers of Russell and a glass jaw combined with him regressing in opposition damn near ever since winning most peoples' Prospect of the Year a couple years back tend to make me believe it.

50/50 fight, but I guess I'd ride with Lomachenko.

His handlers are or have been holding Gary back from stepping up...I'm all for not rushing a young blue chip talent like Russell but they've stifled the kid for whatever reason. I think they know something about his abilities that are forcing them to bring him a long much slower. I think it's a bad move for them to throw him in there with Loma right now....he needs to step up but damn.....They are doing what they did to Loma when they made the fight with Salido.

I think so too.....But he definitely needs to step up. Fight someone with a pulse. Gary has talent but he's not going to progress if they keep feeding him D level guys.

I actually think this is a fifty/ fifty fight. Both gents have excellent skills and both are on their way up. They both have good speed and power. What separates them is their mindset. Lomanchenko still looks at it as a sport and Gary looks at it as his opportunity out. It will be a good fight but if I had to choose I would lean towards Gary.

Loma EASY but he doesnt deserve it after 1 win and 1 loss he simply should not be fighting for title, just because he is very talented and skilled doesnt mean he should not earn it...
