Why can't Lineal Champions be stripped of their status in the boardroom so to speak if:

    a) ducks -

not fighting hopkins or kovalev this year. "stay-busy" fights to be looked upon as ones failure to uphold credibility of lineal status.

    avoiding ggg.

not fighting lara and fighting at 147 instead of 154 where he holds the Lineal Champion status. mayweather should relinquish lineal status at JMW.

    b) robberies -

    c) inactivity - if

is completely blackballed preventing him to secure fights vs legitimate challengers

You're basically describing what the sanctioning bodies do.

no, because floyd can easily duck pacquaio and jus pick up another belt .

lineal status is worth more than these belts.

bring the sport back to the old days w/o hurting peoples pockets. i understanding multiple world champs allow several people to make money including the various champions but pacquaio should have been anointed lineal status when he got robbed vs bradley as that fight involved the 2 highest ranked contenders - number 2 and 3 since number 1 refused to fight either.the continuation of lineage at welter resumes from that fight.

Also, stripping guys for "ducks" and "robberies is way too subjective. If you do that, the title will lose all meaning. Is this even a serious thread?

    yes its serious.

ranking someone number 1 or 2 is subjective in itself. when lewis relinquished his lineal status when he retired, lineage was restored when the number 1 and number 2 in the division fought each other - wlad and povetkin.

whoever wins come april 12th between pacquaio and bradley is the true, legitimate Lineal Champion.

It certainly is, and that's the biggest problem with establishing lineage. Adding more subjectivity to the matter would only make it worse.

How so? The only WWs Bradley and Marquez have fought are eachother and Pacquiao.
Floyd picked the lineal status from Mosley, deal with it. You never loose lineage unless someone else picks up a new one.

if mayweather was lineal champion, refusing to fight the number 1 challenger in pacquaio should automatically strip him of that status.

Except that Pacquiao isn't he number one challenger and hasn't been since 2012. Furthermore, it isn't clear that eiter one of them refused to fight the other.

out of all the challengers, which one would be given the best chance to beat mayweather at the sports betting establishments, in public polls and in writer polls? its pacquaio so he should be number 1
