If this fight happens and goes on ppv it will be interesting to see what Alvarez and GBP does.

Alvarez is suppose to fight in July on ppv and that makes 2 ppvs in one month. Thats after one ppv a month each of the 4 months before July hits.

Way too many ppvs happening this year and not enough quality fights on regular HBO and Showtime instead.

    Raceist **** talkin' **** again.

Fighters from that region have the best chins in the game and do not walk around with room temperature I.Q's like fighters from other regions.

Sergio-Macklin had more viewers that GGG-macklin, not by much but it either had more viewers or the same. GGG-stevens only had 250K more viewers than Sergio-Macklin.

Since the Chavez fight, Martinez has only had one fight outside of US, so it doesn't count. It's possible after the Chavez fight that Martinez is a bigger draw, but he hasn't been active so we don't know. I would say they are about the same or Martinez is more popular based on their common opponent.

...except Macklin fought Martinez as uncrowned champion coming off a fight he won on most people's cards vs Sturm, and Macklin fought Golovkin in a stepping stone fight for GGG. Different magnitude, yet similar ratings.

Golovkin will out box Chavez, will land very hard punches on Chavez, will bang him to the body as well. Chavez will probably weight 40 lbs. more than Golovkin, be full of steroids, but Chavez is very easy to hit.....................Chavez only throws one punch at a time....................Golovkin is not Vera............

Golovkin will be even stronger and punch harder @ 168lbs.

Career ending fight for Chavez as he can't get out of the way of a punch to save his life.

Chavez Jr (@ Scene) is saying Andre Ward is not an option right now due to legal troubles, in fact he's not an option for anybody and can't get a fight legally.

Chavez Jr rejected Pascal, "too big".

...says Golovkin is seen by experts as one of the best P4P fighters and is the best option right now.

Yeah I saw that. Nothing we did not really already know though - Jr did not talk up a GGG fight in English after Vera II for no reason.

Big question is who/how does Jr train for the fight. Honestly, my money is on Jr showing up at Robert Garcias gym the day after the fight is signed.

...then maybe we could see Garcia running his ass calling him all sorts of names on 24/7 if Junior is still lazy in training. :D

Um the casual american fan has no idea who Strum and Strum fights aren't even televised in the US so no one knew who Macklin was before the Martinez fight.

If anything, Macklin gained lots of exposure fighting on HBO against Martinez. So Mackiin was more well known to the American casual fan because of the Martinez fight. Like you said different magnitude, yet similar results. This leads me to believe Martinez is a bigger draw in America.

So you're saying that Martinez became a "bigger draw in America" by fighting unknown Dzinziruk, unknown Macklin and unknown Barker?

Fine. Keep living in denial that Golovkin-Chavez won't do better than Alvarez-Angulo on PPV. :conf
