Could mean that or it could just mean you're really good. So my answer is no, not necessarily.

All the people who voted yes, who should Marciano have fought?

Sometimes it's just not possible to fight everyone you were 'supposed' to, undefeated or not. You could name loads of great fighters who have losses who didn't fight everyone, sometimes it just doesn't happen.

It's almost impossible to fight everyone you're supposed to, especially with how the business side of boxing and negotiating is.

    More or less: Yes.

If you expose yourself frequently enough to the strongest, young opposition, an eventual loss is an inevitability.

Who was Joe fighting in the early 2000's? He should have been up at LHW, mixing it up with Jones, Tarver, DM ect... There is no way he gets through everyone undefeated at that time. there were plenty of good top 10 LHWs.. Joe never fought a world class southpaw in his entire undefeated career.. There were some good available ones at LHW, that I bet would have given him a fight.

I think Hopkins and Calzaghe both waited until they felt LHW was safe... Both could have moved up much earlier but didn't.

And I don't think Calzaghe beats Jones anytime before his move to HW.

Floyd beats those overrated champs any day. This is the hype generation. Now if we're talking Hearns, Leonard, Duran, Hagler ... then you have legit argument. I don't see anybody in Floyd's generation that beats him. It's kind of weak.

I think Williams would have beaten Floyd… really bad match up

Pacquiao would have lost to Floyd more often than not, but there is a period of time around 2009 when I think Pacquiao was WAY better than Mayweather, and would have decisively outpointed him, if not knocked him out.

Younger versions of Mosley and Cotto would have given him tough fights, but ultimately lost close but clear decisions.

If any fighter through history won all the fights they had, it wouldn't change who they actually fought.

For instance... If Ali fought the same men but won all of his fights, it wouldn't change who he fought. He didn't go from "Oh, he has the GOAT HW resume of competition faced" to "Oh, he beat them all, therefore he didn't fight everybody because surely he'd have lost." It doesn't make sense like that.

Floyd will regret not fighting Pacquiao...and will also have a harder time leaving boxing than Pacquiao...

Floyd should 'officially' retire when he stated (5 fights time?) then after 2 years out should make a 1 fight 'comeback' to whoop the current 147 champion... Pacquiao and Mayweather are very special fighters will be long before we see someone like them at 140/147.
