Chuvalo says Foreman and Dejohn are the biggest punchers he fought, that seems entirely reasonable to me.
Where you put Dejohn is irrelevant.

 

I agree klompton. George was a fine, granite chinned contender who would have given anyone a scrap in any era.
But he does have a history of whining and never REALLY had a career great win (Quarry was an anamoly).
IMO I'm just not that impressed with his 'reflections'.

 

I guess the whole"who was faster, Ali, or Patterson" deal is still up for debate.

 

It should be noted that he did not pick Quarry for any category.

He does by and large seem to favour people who beat him.

 

So Jack Johnson avoided a 5'7" guy who fought lots of middles and welters.

Anyone who watched the films can see Langford hit hard!

Saying DeJohn hit harder than Frazier is something few outside of Chavalo would agree with.

You mentioned ko percentages, I demonstrated how unreliable they are as proof of power, by showing that Langford's percentage is 12% lower than Dejohn's. Try and keep to the point, that's if you can actually see it.

 

I don't know enough about DeJohn but this list, a very good one BTW, must have Satterfield, Weaver and Bonecrusher Smith ... I particularly like the inclusion of guys like Briggs, Bruno, Firpo and Wills, all huge punchers often over looked.
