Its been replayed on ESPN about a million times.

Ive seen it on YOUTUBE a million more times.

Ive read everything about the fight that I could.

Ive watched all the Kirkland fights that I could.

Is there some kind of mysterious theory you have on the fight that would explain why Duran lost???

Notice, by the way, that you couldnt answer the question for yourself, instead pulled the juvenile trick of answering questions with more questions.

    :lol::lol::lol:

So Leonard gets a pass for the deliberate act in pushing for and getting a version of Duran he could beat? In a way he does deserve credit because he pulled it off but it does not escape the fact he obviously didn't want to face what he did in Montreal. A ****ing beast that put leather on him he did not like at all, leather he said hurt him every time it landed, even jabs. He wanted an easier option and he got it through cowardice. FACT :deal

EVERYONE HAS SEEN THE DOCUMENTARY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

Why is Duran still talking about a steak he ate and some water he drank before the fight????

We all know that aint got **** to do with his quit job!!!

To be honest I think Duran quit exactly because he didn't want to give Leonard the satisfaction of beating him fair, especially since Leonard didn't want the satisfaction of beating a version of Duran that gave him hell in Montreal.

Check this out, just because you're calling somebody the second best welter of all time makes it true? The conversation wasn't about Leonard vs Floyd but Duran vs Floyd. However I will entertain that bull**** cause I happen to disagree. Yeah I think Leonard hits a little harder than Floyd but then he's bigger than Floyd just like he was bigger than Duran. However, Floyd had recorded more knockouts than Leonard. What it seems to be, is that you're mistaking intelligence for weakness. There is nothing soft about Floyd Mayweather and if he had of came up in Leonard's era and Leonard or Hearns was in his way to get where he wanted to go, he would have figured out a way to beat their asses cause he has more boxing IQ than Leonard and Hearns.:bbb

A pass is not needed. Duran didn't get a pass for not being ready, he got a boxing lesson. Like I said, Duran quit and there is no amount of sugar that you can pour on that **** to make it sweet. Leonard was a beast in that first fight himself and never stopped fighting. He gave just as good as he got and was ready for the second fight. Now you tell me who the real beast is. I already know who the coward is.:bbb

The fact you say Duran got a boxing lesson during Leonard II leads me to believe you've never watched the fight. Typical ***** :patsch

Watch the actual fight, ********. It was close before the quit. The judges had Leonard by 1 point at the time of no mas. I had leonard winning a bit wider tbh.

Some of you *****'s need to actually start watching boxing :patsch

Yes, the first fight was very competitive. The rounds were close but Duran was the clear winner. He stepped up and beat prime SRL, thee second best welter of all time and a top 15 ATG. Duran was the **** :deal :yep

What a great piece. Brutal for the Duran haters though haha. I'd hate to be them

I love these threads because we have Leonard to support what really happened, while the haters are coming up with baseless opinions. Thanks SUGAR! I respect you for your honesty! :thumbsup

As a matter of fact, I watched both fights when they first took place and I watched them again today. I didn't see where Duran was raising any hell. He was getting his ass twisted and out boxed in that second fight. Not saying that Duran is not a monster man because he was, and one of my favorite fighters to watch. As a matter of fact I betted with him on that first fight. However, I call **** the way I see it and I don't care who the fighter is. I have no loyalties to people I don't know. As for this name calling, I never referred to you in a negative manner and I expect the same courtesy.:bbb

Come on man, the fight I was referring to was the one in which he lost and it's not the fact that he lost but rather the excuses that are being used to justify his loss. It stings, I know, I know.

The class of fighter duran fought was much higher than mayweather. Take mayweathers whole career opponents and tell me duran dosnt destroy them all? Duran would fukin ko every fight floyd has faced.

I give credit mayweather is a great fighter. But his era is the weakest in boxing history and guys like ortiz and gurerro baldimir a shot mosley zab come on man these guys are good but they are no benitez or hagler hearns leonard bucannan barkley the list goes on. Duran fought them all . Hes the better fighter period
