Bruno probably ahead on scorecards, gets caught by a big punch, Morrison smells blood and starts pouring it Bruno, Bruno stopped on his feet. and i do feel Morrison was slightly mentally stronger than Bruno. However, the names are easily interchangeable. 2 things are assurred though, someones going to gas, and someones going to get stopped, the question is....who?
Either fighter could score a knock out in this fight at virtually any point in the bout. I think Bruno was a bit better overall because he had one tool that Morrison lacked which was a very good stiff jab. I can easily picture Bruno destroying Morrison early like he did to Coetzee but I can also invision Morrison getting to Bruno early like Tyson did. Overall if I had to bet on it I'd go with Bruno because I feel he was the better of the two but this one could go either way.
You cant rule out the explosive bursts of Morrison entirely but again using Lewis as an example who kept Morrison at arms reach its easy to see that Bruno was also more than capable of replicating this. Morrison could not match truth Williams for boxing yet Bruno outboxed even Williams before knocking him flat late in the fight. Williams's power botherd Morrison yet it did not effect Frank in the slightest. Dropping the ball against Michael Bentt at world level is also worse than Bruno slipping up against bones Smith early on in his career too. The thing is with Bruno he was good enough to beat anyone the champion had beat, be it Witherspoon, Tyson or Lewis, apart from the champion himself...however, You can't say that about Morrison.
Morrison would have knocked him out within 6 rounds, Bruno had a bodybuilders frame, but was mentally weaker , and slower and just didn't have the tenacity or power Morrison had, Bruno was so scared of Mike Tyson he nearly **** his pants... Morrison on the other hand was never intimidated by Anyone, let alone Tyson.
oh, who really gives a f u c k… seriously, is this the s h i t you people are interested in> Go watch some Salvador Sanchez and see what boxing is about.
Boxing is about weight, Seamus. You know that. There's no way Sanchez beats either of these guys. Tyson Fury would knock Floyd Mayweather Junior out cold in one round. And that, sir, is a fact.
Bruno certainly looked intimidated in the 2nd fight, yet in the 1st fight he looked anything but, he got up from being floored early on to fight back and hurt Tyson. This is a pick em fight but I'm inclined to think Bruno would knock Morrison out.
Bruno beats any fighter Lennox Lewis schooled. Watch how both got on versus Lennox. 15 pounds lighter, Frank might have beat Lewis when they met.
I would not totally rule out a Bruno 10 round decision win. Both showed when 'programmed' they can use tactics to win late in the fight, indeed win on points. Arguably two of their best wins came through fights that went into the second half a bout (Morrison W12 Foreman; Bruno TKO8 Bugner). I think Bruno dominates early with the jab, only to slowly breaks down, with Tommy coming on late. Bruno W10 would be my call, but it is almost a pick'em.
Bruno's physique was like he had been chiselled from rock, he was like a finely sculpted Adonis, with every muscle cleanly defined, and it has oft been said how different his career may have been if he'd had maybe just a bit of flab and a little less muscle. He had terrible stamina problems in the later rounds. He also had a tendency to be very stiff but he did have a ramrod jab that he used right from the get go, and if he clocked someone, they knew about it. I dont think he would have made the same mistake he did in Tyson 1 when he hurt Mike and didnt throw the kitchen sink at him when he had the chance, so I think Frank wouldve prvailed, 5th or 6th round knockout
