How many Floyd fans have actually seen vs Augustus?

I can't remember Pac taking damage against Cotto like Floyd did against Augustus. I didn't see much control from Floyd against Augustus, it was back and forth and very entertaining for a Floyd fight, with Floyd's corner constantly reminding him to box.
You can dominate a fight on the scorecard despite the actual fight being close and competitive.

 

Saw that fight. I was only 6 when it happened, but I watched in on youtube a couple of years ago.

Good fight. Sometimes the toughest opponents are the ones who are supposed to be there to lose.

And don't forget that this was in 2000. 4 years after FMJ turned pro, still a young fighter learning the game.

Still won by TKO if memory serves me right.

Um, Pac had a ruptured ear drum vs Cotto. What are you talking about? He took a lot of damage in that fight. It was competitive the first half of the fight, with Pac pulling away more and more down the stretch.

No my point there was that it seems to be insecure Floyd fans who were jubilated for Lomachenko to officially lose to Salido and lose his zero, and to them that's some sort of proof that he's not the real deal. The Floyd who fought Augustus didn't look anywhere near a world beater. The Lomachenko in the Salido fight looked far more elite than the Floyd getting tagged constantly and bloodied up by a journeyman Augustus.
It's about perspective for the idiots who look at numbers instead of fighters, and want to write Lomachenko off already.

I said I can't remember, I'm not a Pac fan and I only watched that fight once when it happened. I'm sure Pac wasn't constantly eating punches like Floyd was against Augustus.

Augustus looked hurt to me.

 

Even on the clottey fight his face got marked up despite it being a dominant victory, honestly do you have this much trouble understanding that getting hit is apart of boxing?

 

Dude......look at Manny's post fight pic.....He looked like he lost the fight. I gotta re watch the Mayweather vs Burton fight. I might not be giving Emanuel enough credit but my memory sees Floyd dominating for the most part.

Sure, but Pac isn't touted as having ATG defence like Floyd does. And Cotto/Clottey are far superior fighters to Augustus. Begone peasant.
