Well I hope Loma wins, if not, man oh man. A loss to a shop worn Salido and a "can crusher" back to back.

    Get ready for it.

Question is, after Loma loses to GRJ by TKO, who will be still talking about the hype then?
Will ex-Loma fans become new Russell fans, or will they find another bum to hype?

I'm already a Russell fan......he is from Maryland, right outside of DC. But it's a pipe dream to believe Jr. Is ready or on the level of Loma at this point. I know it's hard to fathom simply because typically the fighter with the least amount of experience at the pro level is the under dog.....In this unique situation we have an extremely rare situation that a very special talent in the amateurs has so many fights under his belt and only losing one fight placed him on the fast track immediately after turning pro. Russell on the other hand has been moved along at a ridiculously slow pace which has been highly criticized.

I believe it's stunted his professional progression. I believe in the kid but he's not ready for a fighter like Loma. I imagine what a fight between Salido and GRJ would look like and in all of my scenarios Russell leaves the ring on his back......I see the same outcome if we replaced Loma with Salido in the equation.

Styles make fights, and Russell has the style to shatter the illusion surrounding this amateur.
Betting windows will soon be open and shortly after Loma's window will be closing.:good

If Loma loses then that means he was a hypejob.

Something s definitely fishy about Loma.

He gets $100,000 for his 1st Pro fight, then gets to fight for a title in his 2nd pro fight.
Loses and then gets to fight for the title again in just his 3rd pro fight.
The kid has got more questionable connections than skills. :yep

What makes Loma soooo great? Honestly? Being a top amateur is all well and good, but what about him makes you think he's got the goods? Secondly, GRJ, is no slouch talent wise. The Salido fight wasn't a bad night or aberration by any stretch. It's way too early to tell but maybe Loma won't be the can't miss pro everyone thinks.

    For real!

If Loma beats RGJ in a convincing fashion I will begin to understand why he has been given so many free rides and I will become a believer. :yep

Lomachenko should outbox Russell fairly easily from the outside. He has longer arms, and better footwork, as well as a height advantage. Also a big step up in class for Russell.

Isn't that a good thing for you? Considering you are so confident that Gary Russell Jr will win and seem to dislike Lomachenko, you get to see hype-train derailed and Gary win the title off of a legitimate opponent.

    Not that I dislike Loma.
    Rather, I dislike his fans.
They are like the ex-Bute fans who have him beating everyone without facing anyone. :yep

When the Loma train derails, will you jump ship like Bute fans did?

I don't like Russell now that he's complaining that Lomachenko didn't deserve a shot. Lomachenko was and is more deserving than Gary. If Russell Jr. had fought Jose Ramirez, it would've been his best opponent. And Vasyl was 7-0, not 1-0.
