Yes, he's past his best now. His peak was around the time of the Chagaev fight - his prime was 2007-2012. Wlad seemed to labor in the ring by times last year, sweating lot more than he used to, needing to hold more often.
Yeah, he's just not quite the same anymore. I don't think a guy like Leapai is going to be the man to do it but his days are coming to an end. I also notice his competition has gotten worse the last handful of defenses outside of Povetkin. I don't know if thats a coinincidence or he's being matched softer because he's in decline.
