its more of the fighter he was fighting then being a south paw. i think he would have had his struggles with those guys if there were not southpaws.

Imo I think if we were to see Floyd/Manny in sept it would play out like Jones/Tarver 2. I think floyd has spent so much time fighting a certain type of fighter that if he were to get in with someone as fast, powerful and mobile as Manny its going to be a real shock to the system and it could cost him. I remember when Roy looked absolutely unbeatable but he was fighting B level competition but the minute he stood in against a guy on his level like tarver we all finally saw Roy was slipping which was comfirmed in fight #2. I think what happened to floyd could happen if he gets in with Manny.

I must have hurt your feelings cause you started in with the name calling and the cliché remarks before addressing the issue. Bump that, I don't wanna go there because that's childish. 1. I don't think that Oscar was way past his prime. He was 34 and how many barn burners had he been in? Two and no more than three. He had fought 43 times and Mayweather had fought 38. That's not a big difference. People just got used to saying he was way past prime but I'm calling bull**** on that. His ass was just making so much money that he got lazy and paid the price with an ass whooping. So when you say Oscar was an old 34, that's not correct. However, I did misread the comment where you had JMM, ODL, Mosley and Cotto lumped together. I stand corrected on that as I thought you were referring to Cotto as being old. 2. Mosley, now he had a lot of tough fights but he didn't really get old until Mayweather beat his ass. He had just beat the brakes off Margo and he is an HOF'er. That's not a knock on Mayweather but rather a plus. I put the ages there to show that out of his last ten fights, the majority of the fighters were younger and six of them were champions.4. Because Marquez had never fought over 135 is not Mayweathet's fault. He signed the contract and got his ass beat. He was a p4p top ten and showed it by knocking Pac's out after that.5. Pac came up because he is considered and ATG. So is Oscar and JMM. I didn't single Pac out, I singled out Oscar. You tried to make a case that Floyd's last ten fight resume was weak as far as ATG's go but that's not correct because out of all ATG's name another one whose last ten fights consisted of six sitting champions. Check this out,all champions are considered A class. I didn't say elite. :bbb

I remember when there was talk of Mayweather-Spinks at 154. Mayweather chose Baldomir at 147 instead.

For the most part, people preferred the Baldomir fight and were glad he didn't choose Spinks.

Spinks was indeed a better fighter than Baldomir, but I think the feeling was that the Spinks fight would be really, really boring.

FWIW, I think Mayweather would have won a clear decision in a fairly dull fight.

He looked unbeatable fighting Toney, Hopkins & Hill. Are they B level?? I'm pretty sure his slipping had more to do with the him dropping 25lbs of muscle coming down from fighting at HW.
