After Groves dismantles Froch he will be the first man to stop Ward, when they have a superfight at the end of the year. Discuss:good
I agree that Ward should fight the winner of Groves-Froch II. It's really the only fight left for him at 168.
Groves ain't fighting ward for at least 15 months. He's on record as saying he not ready for ward. And he's talking truth needs more seasoning.
Fight ain't never going to happen. Groves ain't travelling to jokeland and ward doesn't have the passport ya'all...
Groves won't dismantle Froch (couldn't do it last time either, even with everything going his way in the first 6 rounds). Ward would make Groves look average. Ward already made Froch look average, and Froch is older and more shopworn now. Ward seems to be constantly injured. Ward although effective, isn't exactly pleasing to the eye, and even less so to the casuals. Unless GGG proves that he's the real deal and moves up, then i'd say Ward would be better heading to 175. I think he schools Kovalev and Stevenson, but these would be marketable fights simply becasue Kovalev and Stevenson are punchers.
The worst part is that he has built up a group of casuals for fans who suddenly became an expert on boxing in the past twelve months who believe it as well, and keep rolling out equally ridiculous lines.
Ward has mostly faced brawlers. He's fought Froch, Kessler, Abraham, and Bika. Fighting Groves would show us how he would do against a fast, athletic boxer-puncher.
Ward ducks him. He has poo stains at the mere prospect of facing someone with the speed, skill and power combination of Groves.
