Statistically, it's difficult a talent so physically gifted will emerge in the next 5-10 years; we haven't seen something like that in dozens years, so i voted no.

Starting at flyweight? He was absolutely thin like paper at flyweight, and yet he still fought wars.
Up to light middleweights and middleweights... it would be insane even if he fought like Rigo.
But what adds insanity to insanity is his always at war attitude.
Paquiao 2009 had an aura of absolute unstoppable fire.

Can you see any flyweights today that can achieve what pac has done? Pacquiao was a beast back in the day but now we he to wait for 2 weeks to see which Pacquiao comes in to the Bradley fight.

I agree. Any boxer that goes from number one to any other spot should be removed, because objectivity is overrated and emotional ramblings should replace it.

    Agreed with the OP.

Pacquiao has looked poor of late and, even worse, fights in a weak division full of WEAK boxers.

In the Marquez fight, Mayweather essentially paid $600K for a weight advantage, when he was already fighting a lightweight who had agreed to come up to 144 (nine lbs heavier than Marquez had ever fought at). For example, I was upset about Broner with the Escobedo fight, as well. I don't like seeing the "A side" fighter buying a weight advantage. In Floyd's case I felt it was particularly egregious because he was already fighting a guy who was jumping up almost two full divisions.

As for Canelo, Pacquiao used to get a lot of the same ****, and Floyd would encourage it, calling him the "catchweight king". I actually think catchweights have their place in boxing, and can make certain fights possible that wouldn't be otherwise. However, I don't think title fights should ever be fought at a catchweight. I have a problem with that scenario, regardless of who it is.

Exactly, not to take away from PAC but there will easily be a 9-10 division champ someday with all of the new sanctioning bodies out there and perhaps new divisions down the road

True or false, looking back at the Mayweather-Pacquaio saga, do you think that Manny's camp was afraid that he COULD have bee on PED's?

Everything in negotiations went smooth until the testing, the glove size, ring size, and the 10 million per pound penalty were agreed upon but somehow randomized drug testing was a problem? It don't make sense. Then Manny said he was afraid of needles, then he said that drug tests drain him and make him weak, etc etc. He had a dodgy strength and conditioning coach at the time (Ariza) and Roach said Ariza never told him what was in his special blends. In retrospect, his camp reacted to the drug testing demand like they were scared shitless that Pac COULD have been on PEDs or that there was uncertainty in the camp with people not knowing if or not he was on some special blends. You cant agree to everything else but not a drug test. It just don't make sense. Some people believe that is no possibility that Pac was dirty because Pac is a good guy and would never use.
