pacquaio accepted the drug testing mayweather asked for 14 day cut of then when pacquaio agreed he changed it to a full one with no cut of date then when he agreed he said he wanted more money see the pattern here ?

duckweather has been ducking pacquaio for 6 years

and also duckweather asking for his homemade testing is a way to duck the fight

Its funny that when EVERYONE in this thread likes Pac and not bashing him at all, you come in here with the robot Farm guy and bring up Floyd.. Furthermore, he won his 154 belt at 154 vs Oscar already...

Anyway, my opinion on the topic is that it will be hard, but it can be done. Pac turned pro at like 16 and was poor so he had plenty of time to grow and reach his full potential. If you have a kid that can turn pro at a very light weight like Pac it can be done. Its not really fair for someone who turned pro at 22 and weigh naturally 160 to push his body that much. You have to start in the 100s because the divisions are separated by 3 pounds...

I believe that Floyd could have made 144 but didn't bother to try.. The people who criticizes him would point out he cheated by doing this and it was unnecessary, and the other side can argue that he was off for 18 months, paid his money and Marquez was fine with that, and he didn't win because he weighed more, but because he was more skilled..

We all know Floyd can be an ass so the whole Canelo thing was him being one.. Everyone wants their chance to fight Floyd.. If an opponent happen to weigh more they get to tv and say things like 'I'll drop down to 150 just to fight him' then when he accepts, that's not ok anymore.. If someone says lets play basketball up to 21 and I'll spot you 10 and still win, why not take it? I don't think Mayweather cares about the little backlash he got from the catchweight though.. I guess he likes to prove points as they come...

That's the way that it seemed to a lot of people. Now Roach confirms that he didn't know what Ariza was giving Pac. Now I'm a innocent until proven guilty guy, but Pac became forever suspect when he asked for a cutoff date during RANDOM testing. Doctors know when and when not to take blood. You don't negotiate a cutoff date for testing.

I don't consider it "cheating" per say, but I do have a problem with it. I find it disrespectful to the sport and the opponent. He agreed to a weight, make the weight, or at least care enough to try. I agree that Mayweather is more skilled and an overall better fighter than Marquez. However, I can't say the weight didn't make any difference, that's impossible to know.

I wouldn't have a problem with what he did to Canelo, if it weren't for the belt being on the line. A title is a claim to being the best in that division. It should only be on the line in fights held at that division limit, in my opinion.

As for your question of "Why not take it?", the answer is because he gets less credit for taking it. If Mayweather was confident that he'd beat Canelo at 154, why would he take it? Why wouldn't he have the same attitude towards it that he had just a year prior with the Cotto fight? "I want him at his best, at his most comfortable weight, so there are no excuses" (I'm paraphrasing, but he said this in the "Face Off with Max Kellerman")

Time to school you guys. My old thread http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=379241

Cut that out. That whole myth is complete bullship. There are multiple reasons why this fight didn't come off. Just because a fight didn't happen, doesn't mean it was Floyd ducking. :nono

Floyd has wanted this fight for the longest. He was calling out Zoo before he was even at 140 pounds. One big reason the fight didn't get made was because of Floyd's contract with HBO and Zoo's contract with Showtime. The two networks don't have their fighters fight except for big fights, and this wasn't considered one at the time.

I can bring you muliple quotes of Floyd saying he wanted the fight. Can anybody bring me one from Kostya mentioning Floyd? This whole myth is nonsense. Plus lets look at the timeline:

Kostya fought Jesse James Leija 01-19-2003
    Floyd fought N'Dou 11-01-2003 (Floyd's last fight at 135)
Kostya fight with Mitchell postponed because of shoulder injury 2-7-2004
Floyd fought Demarcus Corley 05-22-2004 (first fight at 140)
Kostya fought Sharmba Mitchell 11-06-2004 (after postponement from injury)
Kostya loses to Ricky Hatton 06-04-2005 (In mandatory defense. Retires afterward)
Floyd fought Henry Bruseles 01-22-2005 (coming off longest layoff of career at the time)

Now tell me, when would this fight have tooken place?

And Lance before you come on this thread talking ship, you should read your own post

Obviously. Why else would someone run away from that payday as soon as stricter drug testing came up? Pacquiao's stardom was blatantly built on EPO and HGH. The Fighting Fraud of the Failippines. I'd estimate 90%+ of the top guys are doping though what I'm curious about is how dirty was he? We could be looking at like Soviet Era anabolics or something with the way they ran from that drug testing.

pac should enroll under usada's trt exemption proceessss.

pay 100k and he is free to juice to the gills just like pedjr.

i mean, how difficult is it?

all pedjr need to do is divulge his personal/medical records to prove he is clean.

until he does, he is juiced to the gills everytime he steps in the ring.

pedjr has the testoteron of a 15yr old kid.

All fighters are using drugs. Why is it so hard to understand?
