Don't be ridiculous man....before the fight it was "it wouldn't go 5 rounds" from the vast majority Crolla gets the win and its the usual excuse....."he's shot to ****" :rofl
Tell us all Solaris what injury Gonzalez had when he fought Ricky, coz I tell you there was no hand injury has he was getting his bloods taken the same time as Ricky and he never had ice or a bandage on it nothing he just quit coz Ricky took his best and was still there eventually getting to him, stop being blinded by your dislike to the scots pal
True to a degree Macky,it will be the same **** with Ricky these keyboard warriors can't understand sometimes you just get beat by the better man on the night simple( Crawford) I'm waiting for the Ricky is if she'd **** well ask all his sparring partners leading up to that fight if it's the case they will 100% say no chance
Anthony Crolla is a good little pro, but he's lost twice to both Gary Sykes and Derry Matthews and IMO he lost to Gavin Rees as well. If Crolla beats John Murray then it's just because Murray's done in with all the wars. Lets be honest Murray in his pomp would tear Crolla up. So, I don't see why the winner of this fight should fight Ricky Burns. I would expect the winner of Crolla/Murray to fight Mitchell next. These two are not on the same level as Burns. I don't see why Ricky should have to suffer and not go back in at world level after just ONE defeat coming of TEN WORLD TITLE FIGHTS. This matchmaking is farcical and clearly suits the promoter more than Ricky Burns and his fans, but under no circumstances will I be taking anything to do with it as i'm not settling for second best. Hearn already knows many fans like me wont be attending that's why he's booked an arena half the size :deal
i hear ya,but it will do Burns good i think to get back winning against a credible boxer and get some winning rounds under his belt....and it isnt always the best boxers that fight for titles as you know Ryan ..some fighters should not be near a title shot but it just boosts the champions win record. chill big boy
I think there was a huge gulf in class between him and Crawford Billy, every time that Ricky had even the slightest success, Crawford made him pay for it. I think Crawford had several more gears to go if needed. Thats no slight on Ricky, I horribly underestimated Crawford, thought he was going to be another Lacy or Broner, not that I thought Ricky would expose him badly, but I gave him a real shot at beating him. If they fought another 50 times Id pick Crawford every time. Ricky was well prepared, had the best sparring available, was as good as Ricky could be, but Crawford is very very good.
It's a good fight because of the hate towards each other. Fighting wise it's a boring fight that Simmons should win comfortably unless he's below domestic level..
It's not my opinion mate that's he's been climbing the IBF rankings- it's a fact Your totally missing the point, why would Hearn put up the money to bring a champ over for Burns when he's trying to build an undercard for Froch Groves? What sense would that make?
Sike, that chance seems to have gone without him having a world title. The only way i can see it happening is if Eddie can work his magic and get him a fight with Figueroa. After seeing Burns shell up when on the backfoot against Crawford, i can't see that fight going well for him. I don't see the point in going back to domestic level, he's clearly shown he's above that.
From what I can see nobody in Britain deserves a world title shot at the moment. The winner of Murray vs Crolla, which is an excellent fight, would have to beat at least one rated opponent to earn a shot, and Im not sure that would happen,as I can't see Murray being better than he was and I don't think Crolla is ever going to be quite at that level. Mitchells best win is Prescott, great win at the time but he never built on it. Had 2 shots and failed quite badly in both. As said, done nothing to deserve a Vasquez shot, his last opponent really poor. Ricky HAS fought at that level with success. But surely after Crawford and the bad decision against Beltran he should fight his way back into contention rather than jump straight back into a title fight? A win over a top contender would do it. The only way I could see him getting a straight shot is in the unlikely event of Kevin beating Vasquez.
NO you're missing the point. What about Ricky Burns? Bring a champion over for Mitchell for the Froch-Groves undercard good luck to him, but not at Ricky's exspence. I mean why does Burns have to go back down to domestic level when a guy he beat easy (Mitchell) gets a title shot? Another thing mate it's not my opinion that Mitchell's only climbed the rankings because Hearn's in bed with the IBF - it's a fact.
Christ will the Sweaty Jocks give it a rest? Ricky's been outclassed three fights in a row and doesn't deserve a world title fight. End of story.
